April 4 – I Can Cope – “Mobilizing Resources and Support” will be the topic for the I Can Cope support group from 7 to 9 p.m. April 4 in Foundation Room #1. The “I Can Cope” cancer support group, sponsored by Henry mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital provides education and support for cancer patients, caregivers, family and friends and facilitated by Katherine Schulz, M.S.W. April 6 – Pint 4 Pint Spring Blood Drive – Donate a pint of blood at Henry Mayo’s Pint 4 Pint Blood Drive from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Henry Mayo/COC Clinical Education Center, 25727 McBean Parkway, Valencia and receive a coupon for a pint of Baskin Robbins ice cream. The process only takes about 50 minutes and all blood types are needed.
Tell a friend, or bring a family member, because once again the American Red Cross has agreed that the blood you give at our hospital will come back to us to be used in our community.

April 11 – Healthy Habits of Volunteering – Maria Strmsek, Director of Volunteer Services at Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital, will talk about volunteering during the “Go the Extra Mile” Mall Walking Program from 9 -10 a.m. at the Westfield Valencia Town Center Mall. The free community health lecture is part of a free mall walking program sponsored by Westfield Town Center Valencia Mall and Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital. April 25 – Home Tour Membership Tea – Come learn about volunteer opportunities with the HMNMH Hometour League. Each year, this fun group of volunteers organizes the annual Holiday Home Tour, a in-home tour of beautifully decorated homes in our area as a fundraiser to support Maternity Services.
