The fundraiser will feature food, games, music and fun for the whole family.

“We’re planning to have a scary good time while thanking our sponsors who have helped LARC Ranch get through some tough circumstances,” said LARC Ranch Executive Director Kathy Sturkey. “You can always count on having fun at our fundraisers, and with this year’s Halloween theme, we know everyone will have a blast, from kids to adults.”

The Halloween Festival will be held at LARC Ranch, 29890 Bouquet Canyon Rd., Saugus. Tickets for adults cost $125 each and children’s tickets cost $50.

A family package of $325 includes tickets for two adults and two children.

The luncheon event in picturesque Bouquet Canyon begins at 1 p.m. with carnival games along with great food and dessert from a variety of vendors.

The dance floor will be kept moving to music provided by DJ Bino Bates.

All proceeds benefit the programs, services and facilities of LARC Ranch, which provides residential and day program services to developmentally disabled adults.

This year the organization’s fundraising needs have taken on a heightened sense of urgency because of an ongoing water crisis.

LARC and other Bouquet Canyon property owners have been working with several government agencies to resolve the issue, but the process has been slow going — leaving LARC facing the unbudgeted expense of having to truck water into LARC.

“Our fundraising this year is about preserving the future of LARC Ranch,” Sturkey said. “We’re focused on the water crisis as well as the installation of solar equipment that will enable LARC to reduce its electricity costs for many years to come.”

She added that the fundraiser is not only an important event to support those efforts, but is also a means of thanking those in the community who support LARC. “We always aim to create a fundraiser that’s fun for the whole family, and allows us to express our sincere appreciation for those who make LARC Ranch possible.”
