“We have Scarecrow Alley, which is free, we have a train ride, a petting zoo, alombardiproducefinal corn maze and a wagon ride” said Levi Lombardi, a member of the Lombardi family who oversees farming for the ranch. “There’s a lot for people to do and there’s something for every budget. People can come hang out all day and let their kids run wild and not spend a dime or they can come buy pumpkins and food.”

The Fall Festival offers live music, bake sales, a pumpkin carving contest and a scarecrow design contest.

Lombardi’s Ranch is open from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sundays.

Along with pumpkins, corn and tomatoes are the most popular produce sold at the ranch, but onions, peppers, squash, watermelon and cantaloupe, are also offered at the ranch’s produce stand, all of which are grown on the family-owned farm, according to Lombardi.

Lombardi’s Ranch has held its Fall Festival since 1989 and has been selling pumpkins since 1968, according to its website.

Lombardi’s Ranch is kind of a family tradition,” said Lancaster man Mark Welsh, who comes to the ranch every year. “It’s just a really nice family experience. There’s not a lot of those around anymore.”

More than 8,000 students visit the ranch every year on field trips for tours of the pumpkin patch.
