Providence Holy Cross Blood Drive Set a New Record

On Saturday, January 28, the Providence Holy Cross Blood Drive, in conjunction with Kelly Shell, set a new record for both Los Angeles and Orange Counties for a mini blood mobile by collecting 45 pints of blood on their self contained three-bed blood mobile.  This is equivalent to 6.4 pints per hour.

The blood drive was held between 9am and 4pm at Kelly Shell Gas Station, across the street from the new Providence Holy Cross Health Center here in Santa Clarita.  The event was sponsored by KHTS AM-1220 and Kelly Shell.  City Council members were among members of the Santa Clarita community who donated blood.

The Providence Blood Donor Center is open Monday through Saturday, with evening hours available.  For hours of operation, to set up an appointment, or for information on setting up a blood drive, call 800-469-9555.
