The City of Santa Clarita hosted its 26th annual Earth Arbor Day Festival Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Central Park in Saugus.
“We have a lot of entertainment and plenty of interactive activities throughout the day for everyone to enjoy,” a spokesperson for the Earth Arbor Day Festival said. “We’re trying to send a message of the importance of being green and taking care of our planet.”
There were plenty of vendors on hand to share information about being environmentally friendly and other general services.
The festival had plenty of interaction zones: Alternative Transportation, Community Organizations, Tree Zone, Energy Zone, Eco Zone, Water Conservation Zone and Alternative Transportation Car Show.
This year the city accepted it’s 25th consecutive Tree City USA award from the National Arbor Day Foundation.
The event was free to the public and sponsored by the Santa Clarita Family of Water Suppliers.
