Local authors interested in applying to be part of the second annual Celebration of Local Authors event must complete and submit an application by Saturday, November 15, 2014. The application is available at SantaClaritaFOL.com.
The event will take place Jan. 17 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Old Town Newhall branch, located at 24500 Main Street.
The inaugural event took place in January of this year and highlighted 31 local authors, providing residents with opportunities to learn more about their work, participate in question and answer workshops, and purchase signed books.
The second annual event will include space for up to 50 authors and will once again include moderated panel discussions and opportunities for authors to sell and sign books.
The entire community is invited to attend the free programming.
The Friends of Santa Clarita Public Library is an active group of Santa Clarita residents who volunteer, advocate and fundraise to meet the needs of the Santa Clarita Public Library.
All of the proceeds from the fundraising efforts and programs sponsored by the Friends of Santa Clarita Public Library go towards providing new materials and programming.
