The Friends of Santa Clarita Public Library, with support from the Santa Clarita Public Library, present the annual Celebration of Local Authors event on Sat. January 17.

The celebration will be held at the Old Town Newhall branch, located at 24500 Main Street, and it will be from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

This exciting free event will feature 48 local authors, and provide them with the opportunity to share their work with the public.

Authors will participate in moderated panel discussions which will be followed by a question and answer time from the public.

Attendees will also be able to purchase the authors’ books throughout the event and obtain autographs.

The Friends of Santa Clarita Public Library is an active group of Santa Clarita residents who volunteer, advocate and fundraise to meet the needs of the Santa Clarita Public Library.

All of the proceeds from the fundraising efforts and programs sponsored by the Friends of Santa Clarita Public Library go towards providing new materials and programming.
