Tickets are already on sale and going fast, according to a city press release.
Preferred Field Box seats have already sold out, but a number of other spots are still available, ranging between $30 and $67 per person. Ticket sales end at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16.
All proceeds from the ticket sales will go to support SCV nonprofits and schools, and attendees will be able to specify which charity or school on their ticket registration form.
Jim Ventress, director of the SCV Boys & Girls Club, will throw the ceremonial first pitch at the April 26 Dodger game.
He joins the ranks of other community leaders like Councilman Bob Kellar and Cary Quashen of ACTION Family Counseling, who have thrown the first pitch at previous Dodger Day games.
Ventress was chosen by the Dodger Day committee, “in recognition of his service to the community,” said Patrick Downing, arts and events supervisor for the city.
Ventress has participated in Dodger Day for more than 20 years, Downing said.
Tickets can be purchased online or at the Santa Clarita Aquatic Center on Centre Pointe Parkway. Each school and non-profit group that sells more than 10 tickets will receive a rebate.
