Santa Clarita Worksource To Host Recruitment For Sales Associates

Santa Clarita Worksource officials, in partnership with executives at Ashley Furniture Homestore, are expected to host a furniture sales associate recruitment event Wednesday.

The event will be held at the University Center at College of the Canyons’ Valencia campus and take place from 1-4 p.m., according to a news release.

The free recruitment will identify candidates for longterm employment positions in Santa Clarita and surrounding communities.

Sales representative positions with Ashley Furniture Homestore are currently available in Santa Clarita and Northridge with starting pay at $10 per hour plus weekly incentives, with a starting potential of $35-$60,000/year, according to the news release. Work schedules include a full-time five-day work week.

A full-time visual merchandiser position is also available in Santa Clarita at $12 per hour.

The position includes a Sunday-Thursday work schedule as well as benefits and opportunities for training and growth.

Both positions are suited to individuals seeking long-term employment in sales or merchandising with opportunities for advancement.

Qualified applicants must have two to three years sales experience, excellent professional communication skills and computer proficiency.

Applicants should arrive early before the interview process, be prepared to fill out an application and bring a State ID, U.S. Passport and either Social Security Card or Work Visa, according to the release.

All eligible applicants must pass a background check and drug screen.
