YMCA Royal Ball

Do you find yourself buying any magazine featuring Kate Middleton? Shopping online for a “Pippa Hat”? Listening to Lourde’s “Royals” for hours on end? You may suffer from “Royalty Envy” and I have just the event to make you feel like a Queen.

The Santa Clarita YMCA is hosting a Royal Ball on Saturday, February 28^th, from 6-8 pm and is free and open to adults and kids, making a great family friendly outing. You can call 253-3593 for the details.

River Village Family Park

Going to the playground or local park is pretty much a daily requirement when you have little kids, but after a few hundred visits, it can get OLD.

So bring in the NEW with the newest local park in Santa Clarita, River Village! It’s the city’s 30^th park and has a themed play area for kids, picnic area, perimeter walkway, and a new trailhead connection to the Santa Clara River Trail.

The park is open and ready for your kids to play until they exhaust themselves at 26401 Riverrock Way. Go and support this fantastic new community resource!

Tooth Fairy Party

It’s National Tooth Fairy Day! Whether or not your kids have all their teeth, none, or somewhere in between, you can all celebrate the most generous fairy around at the Canyon Country Library’s Tooth Fairy Party.

It’s Saturday, February 28 from 2:00-4:00pm and you can visit their website for the full schedule.

There may even be a special guest there…any guesses? No, not the Easter Bunny! Pay attention!

Family Concert at Grace Baptist

So, it’s Friday night and you could plop on the couch with your kids and watch something awful and mind numbing, or you could go to get inspired by gorgeous music at a family friendly concert. They are both free, but why not start your weekend feeling inspired?

The Grace Baptist Church is presenting Tune, Tales & Truths, A Mid-Winter Family Concert this Friday, February 27th at 7:30pm. Cinderella, the Panto!

There are lots of versions of the classic Fairy Tale “Cinderella”, but how many make you laugh out loud, repeatedly? Yeah, not so many, you pretty much only have talking mice to give you a chuckle.

Well, now you can change that by heading to the Canyon Theatre Guild’s performance of “Cinderella, the Panto”!

This Friday, February 27^th at 8pm and Saturday, February 28^th at 2pm are it’s final performances at the Canyon Theatre Guild in Newhall and you won’t want to miss it. Tickets are totally affordable and can be purchased by calling 799-2702.

It’s a zany and fun twist on the traditional story and will not only have you laughing out loud, but possibly even busting a gut, too! Dress accordingly…
