It’s Father’s Day this weekend! You can either take the Father in your life out for a fun Santa Clarita activity, or take the kids out and let Daddy rest and have a little quiet time. Either way, I’ve got you covered.
Here are my top 5 picks for family fun in Santa Clarita this weekend:
Touch-A-Truck – Santa Clarita Senior Center
Who DOESN’T want to explore fire trucks, jump in a cop car, or take a picture in front of a bulldozer?
Kids and adults are invited to the 3rd annual Touch-A-Truck event being held at Central Park this Saturday, June 20th, from 9am to 2 pm. The event, being put on by the Santa Clarita Senior Center, will have all sorts of fun vehicles to explore, plus food trucks, magicians, and everything you can imagine a kid will enjoy. Call 259-9444 ext 141 for info.
Little kids, and grown up kids, will all have a blast.
Circus Vargas in Santa Clarita
The Circus is a guaranteed way to get your kids to smile. Good thing Circus Vargas is in town and filled with thrills for the whole family!
This awe-filled show is called ArleQuin and is about a boy joining the circus. It runs multiple times a day from June 18th through June 22nd at the Westfield Valencia Town Center parking lot and you can get tickets and times at 1-877-GOTFUN1.
This way, when your kids tell you they are going to run away and join the circus, you know where they are heading…

It’s that time of year, when birds start their great northern migration.
Give your kids a fun morning by taking them Bird Watching at Towsley Canyon! Saturday, June 20th, there is a guided walk from 8 to 10 am at Ed Davis Park in Towsley Canyon. Meet at the front parking lot and make sure to bring binoculars.
The birds are heading north to cool off; don’t you wish you could do that too?
Family Karaoke Library
So what are your favorite karaoke songs? Oldies? Rap? Frozen?
Whatever songs you love to sing, odds are they will be there at the Sing and Shout Family Karaoke party at the Old Town Newhall Library this Saturday, June 20th, between 1 and 4 pm. DJ Wayne Coombs has the whole setup for you and the family, so make sure you stop by!
Odds are you will hear “Let it Go” a few times…or 50.
