The City of Santa Clarita

The City of Santa Clarita

The City of Santa Clarita announces the air dates for this year’s annual Teen Scene Unplugged event.  The event, which took place on September 21, 2005, and which nearly 700 parents and teens attended, will be broadcast on SCVTV Channel 20.  Airtimes are scheduled for Tuesday, October 18 and Tuesday, October 25 at 4:00 pm and Friday, October 14 at 9:30 pm.  The program is approximately one hour and forty minutes in length and the City encourages all parents to watch it with their families. Sponsored by the Mayor’s Blue Ribbon Task Force, Teen Scene Unplugged: Connect, Communicate, and Cope During the Teenage Years was designed as an interactive seminar where parents and teens learn to engage one another in meaningful conversation about youth and family issues including drug and alcohol abuse.  The City is airing the event on SCVTV to give folks who missed the program a chance to gain the same valuable information from the comfort of their own homes. This year’s program was dynamic, engaging, and packed with insightful information and useful resources for parents and teens alike.  John Crudele, internationally acclaimed speaker, author, and expert on youth and family issues, captivated the audience of parents and teens with his humor and wit, as he shared his knowledge of the family unit.
