Sheriffs Broomball for Charity

The Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station will be hosting a Broomball Game for charity on Thursday, July 21.  Deputies from the Sheriff Station will play against employees from the City of Santa Clarita, Officers from the Newhall CHP Station, and Explorers from the Sheriff Station.

Game time on July 21 is from 6:00pm to 10:30pm at the Ice Station on Smyth Drive in Valencia.  The cost is $2.00.

Broomball is similar to an ice hockey game but is played in tennis shoes instead of ice skates and a broom instead of a hockey stick.

Kings Hockey announcer Nick Nickson will be attending and will announce one of the games.  The Kings and several local businesses have donated items to be auctioned off.  Our hometown radio station, KHTS AM-1200, will broadcast live from the event.

The proceeds from the game and the auction will help raise money to build the City of Santa Clarita Blue Ribbon Task Force Youth Memorial.
