Soroptimist International of Greater Santa Clarita Valley officials in partnership with Comfort Keepers In-Home Care are gearing up for their 7th annual The Wine Affair “Sip, Stroll, and Savor the Sounds” event in support of women’s health issues.

The event is planned for Oct. 26 from 2-6 p.m. along Town Centre Drive in Valencia.
The Wine Affair draws 500‐600 people who enjoy an afternoon of wine, appetizers and live music among the shops and restaurants on Town Centre Drive, according to the SIGSCV website.
“We’re a worldwide philanthropic organization that supports our three pillars that include women’s’ health, women in crisis and celebrating women,” said Pam Ingram, president of Soroptimist International of Greater Santa Clarita Valley. “This is a fantastic event, one of the best in the valley and I’m looking forward to it.”
A Dozen Venues
This year’s event will have 11 venues for the general ticket including a beer garden presented by Paulaner HP Brewery, according to the website. A VIP ticket will be offered as well which includes a special 12th venue serving premiums wines, beer and food and great music. The VIP ticket also includes a raffle entry for prizes.
“We have a great group of people who worked on this,” said Event Chair Kris Hough. “It’s an awesome event. We have wine, food and music at each venue. A portion of proceeds will benefit our programs to improve the lives of girls and women.”
Live music includes Acoustic Jukebox, Blue Sky, The Cellar Ratz, Dorian Gray Eternal Youth, Fahr West, G3 Band and several others.
Soroptimist International thanks the restaurants and stores who are hosting this afternoon of wine, food and music.
Some of the restaurants and stores include Apollo’s Barber Shop, Blo-Out Lounge, Entourage Hair Studio, Hot Wings Cafe and the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory among others.
Wineries and breweries include Chamisal Vineyards, Fireman’s Brew and Wolf Creek Brewery.

General admission is $50 per person. VIP admission is $100 per person and includes 12 venues and a raffle for baskets including a Wine & Dine Basket, a Luxurious Relaxation Basket, an Event Basket, a Fashionable Lady Basket, a Debonair Man Basket, a Wellness Basket and a Golf Basket.
Each basket is worth between $500 and $1,500, Hough said.
