Student-Written and -Performed New Works , April 6th through 9th

A combined student effort involving writing, acting and set design culminates once again in the critically-acclaimed New Works Festival kicking off Friday, April 7 at 8 pm in the Black Box Theater at the College of the Canyons Performing Arts Center. A joint effort between the College of the Canyons Theater and English Departments, this season will also feature set and lighting designs arranged by students. The series of plays continues to feature student-written works and wholly student casts.

This season’s New Works Festival highlights more than a dozen short plays, each usually lasting between 5 and 10 minutes. Adult themes and language are present, so parental discretion is advised.  The festival runs at 8 pm on Friday, April 7 and again at 8 pm on Saturday, April 8. A matinee show will take place at 2 pm on Sunday, April 9. Admission is free, and seating is on a first-come first serve basis. Doors open 30 minutes prior to curtain.
