Santa Clarita Valley’s own “Lost Canyon Rangers” are honored recipients of the Academy of Western Artists prestigious Will Rogers “Rising Star” Award.
The Rangers were nominated by the Academy of Western Artists for world wide recognition in five separate categories including “Entertainer of the Year”; “Rising Star”; “Western Group of the Year”; “Western Music Male” (Skeeter Mann); and “Western Music Female” (“Miss Lindalee”). In a process of elimination ballots, they made the final “top 10″ list for “Rising Star” and “Western Group/Duo” of the year.
The Rangers are living up to their reputation for being the hardest working band in western music. They will continue to entertain their audiences across the nation with their incredibly magical and hypnotizing sounds. They transport you to the days of Roy Rogers, Dale Evans, Gene Autry, and Hopalong Cassidy, and then magically bring you into to the present, and the life of the modern day cowboy. Tapping feet, clapping hands, and big-ol’, toothy grins abound when The Rangers engage their audience.
