Circus Vargas

When:  Thursday, November 7 through Monday, November 11 (for times, see details)
Where:  Westfield Valencia Town Center, parking lot near Citrus Street and Magic Mountain Parkway
Details:  Circus Vargas is coming to Santa Clarita with their new production “Magikaria, A Fantastical Magical Experience”.  “Circus Vargas conjures up an astonishing array of artists in its newest, exciting spectacular! An amazing production bursting with mystery, magic, music and more!  Witness elaborate illusions and unbelievable feats of acrobatic and aerial artistry!  A world of magic…under the big top!”  Circus times are:  Thursday, November 7 at 7:30pm; Friday, November 8 at 7:30pm; Saturday, November 9 at 1:30, 4:30, and 7:30pm; Sunday, November 10 at 1:00, 4:00, and 7:00pm; Monday, November 11 at 2:00 and 5:00pm.  More information is available online.  

Habitat For Humanity “Ground Breaking & BBQ”

When:  Saturday, November 9 from 11am-4pm
Where:  Building Site, 21545 Centre Pointe Parkway, Santa Clarita

City Of Lancaster “Field Of Drafts”

When:  Saturday, November 9 from 1-5pm
Where:  Lancaster Municipal Stadium,  45116 Valley Central Way, Lancaster
Details:  The City of Lancaster knows that “If you brew it, they will come”.  So come on out to “Field of Drafts”.  Sample dozens of craft beers from dozens of brewers.  Admission includes a souvenir glass, live entertainment and football on the Jumbotron.  This event will be held rain or shine.  More information and tickets are available online.

Zonta Celebrity Tribute Dinner

When:  Friday, November 8, 6:30pm
Where:  Hyatt Valencia, 24500 Town Center Drive – at McBean Parkway
Details:  Zonta Club of Santa Clarita Valley is hosting their 29th annual Celebrity Tribute Dinner recognizes an outstanding community member who has made a difference in Santa Clarita.  This year Zonta honors Marlee Lauffer.  The evening will reflect Marlee Lauffer’s interests highlighted by Broadway musicals, dinner and “a little chocolate”.  More information on Zonta, Marlee Lauffer, and tickets are available by calling 818-207-9364 or online.

Fast Frame Valencia “Art Exhibit And Reception”

When:  Saturday, November 9 from 1-4pm
Where:  Fast Frame Valencia, 24204 Valencia Boulevard – in the Whole Foods/Kohl’s center
Details:  Fast Frame Valencia is hosting an “Art Exhibit And Reception” for local photographer, April Bielefeldt.  “April is a natural light photographer, artist, designer and tour guide.  Her roots are in the natural world where she is chasing the light, seeking the changing seasons and enthusiastically sharing those passions with others.”  Her art will be on display the month of November.  You can meet April Bielefeldt at the reception.  More information on Fast Frame is available online.  

Lancaster Performing Arts Center “Pacific Mambo Orchestra With Tito Puente, Jr.”

When:  Friday, November 8 at 8pm
Where:  Lancaster Performing Arts Center, 750 W. Lancaster Boulevard, Lancaster
Details:  “The Mambo has returned and is coming to the Lancaster Performing Arts Center!”  The Latin big band Pacific Mambo Orchestra featuring Tito Puente, Jr. will revisit the big band sounds of the 40s, 50s, and 60s.  More information and tickets are available by calling 661-723-5950 or online.

Swing A Bell, Save A Life

When:  Saturday, November 9 starting at 7am
Where:  CrossFit Kalos Sthenos, 26620 Valley Center Drive, Ste. 105 – just off Soledad Canyon

Saugus High “Wrestling”

When:   Saturday, November 9 at 7pm
Where:  Saugus High School, 21900 Centurion Way – off of Bouquet Canyon
Details:  Saugus High School is holding a “Wrestling” fundraiser with KnokX Pro Academy wrestling stars.  “Meet, greet and eat with KnokX Pro after the matches.”  Funds raised benefit ASB.  Tickets are $10 for general admission and $15 for ringside seating.   A flyer is available online.

Rio Norte Junior High “Holiday Boutique”

When:  Saturday, November 9 from 9am-5pm
Where:  Rio Norte Junior High School, 28771 Rio Norte Drive – off Copperhill
Details:  Rio Norte Junior High is helping us to get a jump on holiday shopping with their “Stephanie’s Hope Holiday Boutique”.  The Boutique will have over 27 vendors, a bake sale and a 12 Days of Christmas Raffle.  The Boutique was first organized by Stephanie Magness, a local resident diagnosed with Friedreich’s Ataxia (FA).  Learn more about the event and FA online.

Castaic Elementary “Vintage Vegas”

When:  Saturday, November 9 from 5-10pm
Where:  St. Kateri Church, 22508 Copper Hill, Santa Clarita
Details:  Castaic Elementary School PTA is hosting their “Vintage Vegas” fundraiser.  The proceeds will benefit the school field trips, the science lab, and the music lab.  Admission is $50 and includes 500 casino chips and a silent auction.  The event will be catered by Stone Fire Grill and Scrummy Bites.  More information and tickets are available online.

City Of Santa Clarita “Movie Madness”

When:  Friday, November 8 from 12-2pm
