Lancaster Performing Arts Center “Cirque Ziva”

When:  Friday, January 24 at 8pm
Where:  Lancaster Performing Arts Center, 750 West Lancaster Boulevard, Lancaster
Details:  Lancaster Performing Arts Center has “Cirque Ziva” performed by Golden Dragon Acrobats.  “This fast-paced technically innovative performance showcases traditional Chinese acrobats; dance and costumes; ancient and contemporary music; as well as modern theatrical techniques.”  Tickets are $12/$19/$29/$35.  More information and tickets are available by calling 661-723-5950 or online.

Temple Beth Ami “Women’s Spa Day”

When:  Sunday, January 26 from 1-6pm
Where:  Balance Point Spa, 18285 Soledad Canyon Road – near Solamint Road, Canyon Country
Details:  The Sisterhood of Temple Beth Ami is holding its annual education fundraising event, “Spa Day.”  This is the fourth year for this fun, relaxing and socializing day.  Take part is the extensive raffle.  More information is available by emailing sisterhood@templebethami.org  or in the online flyer.  

Rancho Camulos Reenactment 

When:  Saturday, January 25 at 1pm
Where:  Rancho Camulos Museum & National Historic Landmark, 5164 E. Telegraph Road – 10 miles west on the 126 from I-5

“Frock The Runway” Fashion Show Fundraiser

When:  Saturday, January 25 from 10am-1:30pm
Where:  Marriott Courtyard Hotel, 28523 Westinghouse Place, Santa Clarita
Details:  “Frock the Runway” Fashion Show Fundraiser benefits Habitat for Humanity’s WE Build Women Empowerment and other veterans programs.  “Fashionable, stylish and on trend, giving back is the way to go!” The National Association for Professional Women of Santa Clarita is hosting the fashion show featuring clothing from Chico’s.  Donations are $40 now and $50 at the door.  Donate online.  

Lancaster Performing Arts Center “Celtic Nights”

When:  Sunday, January 26 at 2pm
Where:  Lancaster Performing Arts Center, 750 West Lancaster Boulevard, Lancaster
Details:  Lancaster Performing Arts Center has a Sunday matinee performance of “Celtic Nights, The Emigrants Bridge.”  “Celtic Nights is a unique show which features both the finest male and finest female voices of the Celtic world, showcased against a thundering backdrop of expert dancing and musicianship.” More information and tickets are available by calling 661-723-5950 or online

WiSH Foundation “Starry, Starry Night”

When:  Saturday, February 1 at 7pm
Where:  West Ranch High School, 26255 Valencia Boulevard, Stevenson Ranch
Details:  The WiSH Foundation is holding their Second Annual “Starry, Starry Night” fundraiser.  Read more in a KHTS story: WiSH Foundation To Host Second Annual “Starry, Starry Night” Fundraiser. The night features stars form “Dancing with the Stars” and “So You Think You Can Dance,” plus a performance by one of the Hart District dance teams.  WiSH is the official private-fundraising organization for the support of the William S. Hart Union High School District’s educational programs.  Adult tickets are $40, students, seniors and active military tickets are $25. Canyon Theatre Guild “The Dixie Swim Club”
 
When:  Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm on: January 31, February 1, 7, 14, 15, 21, 22, and March 1; Sundays at 2pm on: February 9 and 23; Sundays at 6pm on February 16
Where:  Canyon Theatre Guild, 24342 Main Street in Old Town Newhall
Details:  Canyon Theatre Guild has the new comedy “The Dixie Swim Club.”  The story is about five Southern women that met on their college swim team.  They meet for one weekend every August to catch up on each other’s lives.  “As their lives unfold and the years pass, these women increasingly rely on one another through advice and raucous repartee, to get through the challenges that life flings at them.”  “The Dixie Swim Club is the story of these unforgettable women-a hilarious and touching comedy about friendships that last forever.”  Hear a KHTS Friday Matinee podcast interview with some of the stars of “The Dixie Swim Club” during an appearance on January 17.   Tickets are $12 to $15 for juniors/seniors and $15 to $17 for adults.  Tickets are available by calling 661-799-2702.  More information is available online 

Child & Family Center “Winter Blizzard Bunco Bash”
 
When:  Thursday, January 30 from 6-10pm
Where:  Child & Family Center, 21545 Centre Point Parkway
