Hearts For Jack
Become part of Jack’s Angels by making “Hearts For Jack.” If you love crafting and would like to participate, pick up materials and pattern directions to make fabric hearts that will then be donated back to be part of “Skip For Jack” and “Project Angel Box.” Make hearts from the pattern (suggested one time donation of $3) and bring them back to be given to each child participating in the first annual “Skip For Jack,” part of the Santa Colorita 5K Fun Run event on Valentine’s Day. The ongoing project of making hearts will go towards “Hearts For Jack,” a program for giving a care package to a DIPS diagnosed child and his/her family. DIPG, or Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma, is responsible for the majority of pediatric brain tumor deaths in children. If you have your own materials, see the website link for pattern instructions. Hearts For Jack is hoping to have enough hearts for the Valentine’s Day event but don’t let that limit you, the hearts are a year-round cause. Saturday is an open time period for picking up materials to make hearts or to drop off hearts you have already made.
When: Saturday, January 17 from 10am-12 noon
Where: 32520 Wagon Wheel Rd., Santa Clarita 91390 (above Canyon Country off Sierra Hwy and Davenport)
