Concerts in the Park: Double Wide and Savannah Burrows (Country)

When: Saturday, July 29 at 7 p.m.

What: Bring your beach chairs and enjoy the free series of Saturday concerts held at Central Park at 7:00 pm running through August 26. Double Wide is one of Southern California’s premier country cover bands, and combines the showmanship sensibilities of a classic rock act with the heart and soul of pop and classic country. Savannah Burrows won the local round of the 2016 Country Showdown, performing in front of 8,000 fans at Central Park. She is a singer-songwriter from Santa Clarita who performs only her own original songs.

May is National Foster Care Month, a time to recognize that we each can play a part of enhancing the lives of children and youth in foster care, according to the Children’s Bureau Family Foster Care & Adoption.

“Don’t Hug Me” Opening at the Canyon Theatre Guild

Silents Under the Stars

What: Silents Under the Stars will feature William S. Hart starring with his real-life sweetheart, Jane Novak in the 1919 film, “Wagon Tracks.” As always, the movie will be accompanied live by Mr. Ray Lowe at the keyboard. The event will include music by the Saguaro Sisters with Will Ryan, evening mansion tours and patio seating, a western silent auction, BBQ dinner from Rattler’s and more!

Household Hazardous Waste and E-Waste Round Up

What: This is a one-day, drive-through HHW & E-Waste collection event for residents to drop off their household hazardous waste and electronic waste. There is a transportation limit of 15 gallons or 125 pounds of hazardous waste per trip. This event is free and open to all residents of L.A. County.
