What: “Stop the Bleed’ is a national initiative designed to provide bystanders with the tools and knowledge they can use to stop life-threatening bleeding. Uncontrolled bleeding can result from man-made and natural disasters (e.g., active shooters, bombings, train derailments, earthquakes) or from other emergency situations (e.g., vehicle crashes, plate glass window accidents, power tool accidents, farming accidents). Severe bleeding can kill within minutes before EMS or other public safety providers arrive. The person closest to you may be the only one who can “stop the bleed.”

What: Timothy B. Schmit’s career unfolds back to the halcyon 1960s. He was in his teens when he charted for the first time. At the turn of the decade he joined POCO and helped steer the band into its pioneering fusions of country, rock and folk. In 1977 he became a member of the legendary Eagles, an association that would continue on and off for decades. All the while Schmit absorbed what he played and heard, weaving it strand by strand into his musical fabric. Please note that this is a fundraising event for the Placerita Canyon Nature Center Associates (a nonprofit corporation) and that there is a charge for some activities.
