What: Passages is an interactive exhibit that chronicles the history of the Bible.  More than 400 artifacts are used to tell the stories. Artifacts include the Dead Sea Scrolls, a Bible that traveled to the moon on Apollo 14, and a letter handwritten by Martin Luther on the night before he was charged with heresy. Kids can take part in the parting of the Red Sea with Moses, dress as an animal on Noah’s Ark, and feed the lions so they don’t eat Daniel.

What:  As you wander the lovely ballroom and patios, you will enjoy music and entertainment, bid on limited, exquisite silent auction selections and admire unique, thematic centerpieces. Once seated at your decorated “tea table,” you will spend the afternoon with good company and be treated to traditional tea savories.  Proceeds from this event will go to further Circle of Hope’s mission of providing emotional, financial and educational support to those diagnosed with cancer in the Santa Clarita Valley.

What:  It’s time for another fantastic star party out at Vasquez Rocks Natural Area. Sunset is slated for around 6:25 that evening so this should be a good long observing session. Remember, the park closes at 11pm and we need to be completely packed and gone by that time.   Targets that evening include Saturn (very low in the West) and all the usual Fall objects like the Andromeda Galaxy, Albireo, Ring Nebula, the Blue Snowball Nebula and for those with larger scopes you might be able to find the planet Uranus.   As always, the public is encouraged to attend.
