Festival of Trees
When: Friday, November 9 through Wednesday, November 21 (times listed below)
Where:  Westfield Valencia Town Center between The Patios and Sears)
Details:  The magic of the 10th Annual Festival of Trees is back helping to kick off the holiday season.  The Festival features elaborately decorated holiday trees, tabletop trees, wreaths and charming gingerbread houses.  The Kids’ Corner has a variety of crafts and children’s activities for $5.  Entertainment and special events are planned throughout the Festival.  Friday, November 16 at 6pm is “Hocus Pocus An Evening of Magic”.  Saturday, November 17 at 6:30pm is the Festival’s premier event “Magic of the Lights Gala”.  Festival admission is $6 per person 15 years and older, $4 per person Seniors 65 and older, $3 per child ages 4 to 14, and free for ages 3 and under.  Hours: Nov 9 from 10-8; Nov 10 from 10-7; Nov 11 from Noon-6; Nov 12 through Nov 15 from 11-7; Nov 16 from 11-4:30pm, Nov 17 from 10-3; Nov 18 from Noon-6; Nov 19 and 20 from 11-7; Nov 21 from 9-5.  Festival of Trees benefits Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley.  Click here for more information.  

Repertory East Playhouse “Moonlight & Magnolias”
When:  November 16 through December 15, Friday and Saturday shows start at 8pm, Sunday Matinees start at 2pm
Where:  Repertory East Playhouse, 24266 Main Street, Old Town Newhall
Details:  Repertory East Playhouse brings us “Moonlight & Magnolias” the hilarious behind the scenes story of the making of “Gone with the Wind”.  It seems the screenplay for GWTW wasn’t working so legendary producer David O. Selznick shuts down production.  Over five days Selznick, famed screenwriter Ben Hecht and director Victor Fleming lock themselves in a room with only a diet of bananas and peanuts and come up with the screenplay for the movie that becomes a classic.  Tickets are $20 for adults and $17 for students and seniors.  Doors & Bar opens one hour before show time.  Call 288-000 or click here for more information and tickets.

Agua Dulce Women’s Club – Holiday Gift Bonanza
When: Saturday, November 17 from 9am-3pm
Where:  Aqua Dulce Women’s Club at 33201 Agua Dulce Canyon Road, Agua Dulce
Details: The Agua Dulce Women’s Club is holding their Holiday Gift Bonanza with over 35 vendors from all over Los Angeles County that include artwork, scarves, books, toffee, toys, jewelry, soaps & lotions, wickless candles and more.  There will be hourly raffles and a gift wrap booth where your small donation benefits a senior living home.  The Agua Dulce Women’s Club will be serving their famous taco salad.  Beer, wine, margaritas, hot cocoa & cider, and sodas will be available for sale.  Click here for more information.

Saugus Dance Team – Dance Clinic

Where:  Saugus High School Gymnasium, 21900 Centurian Way, Saugus

Zonta – LifeForward Workshop & Potluck Brunch

Details:  Zonta Club of SCV is hosting a free LifeForward workshop that will help women focus on “Networking and Job Related Issues”.  Presenter Wendy Amara is a certified transformational life coach specializing in empowering women.  She is also the co-host on KHTS’ radio show “Life Leadership With Alex Urbina” (Mondays at 1pm).  Special for November there will be a Thanksgiving Potluck Brunch after the workshop.  Participants are encouraged to bring a dish or appetizer (with recipe) to share.  Those who prefer not to cook can bring a favorite recipe to share

COC “Importance of Being Ernest”

Jacob Anthony Zamora Memorial Shoot
When:  Saturday, November 17 from 8am to 4pm
Where:  Oaktree Gun Club, 23121 N. Coltrane Avenue, Newhall
Details:  Join in the celebration of Jacob Anthony Zamora’s life at the 9th Annual Jacob Anthony Zamora Sporting Clays Memorial Shoot.  Shooter registration will run from 8am to 10am.  There will be 10 shooting stations.  Fees are $60 for adults and $30 for youth.  Admission is free to non-shooters.  A t-shirt and lunch will be included with each paid admission.  Ammunition will be available for purchase or participants can bring their own.  There will be raffles.    All proceeds benefit the Newhall CHP Explorer Program and local scholarships through the Jacob Zamora Memorial Foundation.  Click here to learn more about Jacob and the Memorial Shoot.

City of Santa Clarita “Breakfast With Santa” (Dec 8 – register now)
When:  Saturday, December 8 from 8:30am to 11am
Where:  Santa Clarita Activities Center, 20880 Centre Pointe Parkway
