Repertory East Playhouse “Moonlight & Magnolias”
When:  Now through December 15, Friday and Saturday shows start at 8pm, Sunday Matinees start at 2pm
Where:  Repertory East Playhouse, 24266 Main Street, Old Town Newhall
Details:  Repertory East Playhouse brings us “Moonlight & Magnolias” the hilarious behind the scenes story of the making of “Gone with the Wind”.  It seems the screenplay for GWTW wasn’t working so legendary producer David O. Selznick shuts down production.  Over five days Selznick, famed screenwriter Ben Hecht and director Victor Fleming lock themselves in a room with only a diet of bananas and peanuts and come up with the screenplay for the movie that becomes a classic.  Tickets are $20 for adults and $17 for students and seniors.  Doors & Bar opens one hour before show time.  Call 288-000 or click here for more information and tickets.

Canyon Theatre Guild “White Christmas”
When:  Friday at 8pm on:  November 23, December 7, 14 and 21;  Saturday at 8pm on:  November 24, December 1, 8, 15 and 22;  Saturdays at 2pm on: December 15 and 22;  Sundays at 2pm on:  November 25, December 2, 9 and 16;  Weekday performances at 7pm on Tuesday, December 19 and Wednesday, December 20

Small Business Saturday
When:  Saturday, November 24
Where:  Small businesses within the Santa Clarita Valley
Details:  Take part in supporting our local economy and small businesses on Small Business Saturday, that day between Black Friday and Cyber Monday.  Small businesses are owned by our friends and neighbors.  They are here for us all through the year and Saturday is a day we can help them by shopping locally at all of our favorite (or newly discovered) small businesses.

Festival of Trees
When: Wednesday, November 21 from 9am to 5pm
Where:  Westfield Valencia Town Center between The Patios and Sears)
Details:  The Festival ends Wednesday, November 21.  The magic of the 10th Annual Festival of Trees is back helping to kick off the holiday season.  The Festival features elaborately decorated holiday trees, tabletop trees, wreaths and charming gingerbread houses.  The Kids’ Corner has a variety of crafts and children’s activities for $5.  Entertainment and special events are planned throughout the Festival.  Festival admission is $6 per person 15 years and older, $4 per person seniors 65 and older, $3 per child ages 4 to 14, and free for ages 3 and under.  Hours: Nov 21 from 9-5.  Festival of Trees benefits Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley.  Click here for more information.

College of the Canyons – Art Gallery Exhibit
When:  Thursday, November 29 from 11am to 3pm through Thursday, December 13
Where:  College of the Canyon, Valencia Campus, Art Gallery
Details:  College of the Canyon Art Gallery brings us the exhibition “Vinyl – The Art of the Album Cover”.  The exhibit will be a “trip down memory lane for music lovers from the ‘vinyl’ era, this exhibition will feature a casual look at the artistic evolution of the LP (Long Playing) album cover” from artist including Beatles, Rolling Stones, Janis Joplin, the Eagles and many more.  A gallery reception and ‘record hop’ featuring music and light refreshments will take place from 11am to 3pm on Thursday, November 29.  This free event is open to the public.  Click here to learn more. 

City of Santa Clarita “Breakfast With Santa” (Dec 8 – register now)
