You will see and hear an account of Jesus’ life and death, and gain an understanding of the meaning in His sacrifice on the cross for you. This stirring dramatic reenactment combines a full orchestra and a 120-voice choir with over 100 cast members to explain the heart of God’s plan to restore a relationship with mankind. NorthPark Community Church invites you to join them on Easter Sunday at one of their four joyous morning services.  This is a great morning to invite friends and neighbors and see what God will do as they’re introduced to the miracle of the resurrection!

The 8am service is Family Service – attend Service as a Family, no childcare. Shepherd of the Hills – Pageant

Easter weekend service depicting the trial crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ will be held against the dramatic back drop of Vasquez Rocks.  This year there will be two additional scenes.  Shuttle parking is available for seniors.  The pageant – style production features music, authentic costume, and village set decorations.  The service are sponsored by the alliance of Christian Churches of Acton and Agua Dulce which consists of Acton Faith Bible Church, Crown Valley community Church, family Community Church,  Living Springs church, and Shepherd of the Hills Church.  Admission is free, but and offering will be taken for does wishing to make a donation.  For more information and directions visit: TheSunriseService.com

Canyon Theatre Guild – “Barefoot in the Park”
When:  Fridays at 8pm on: March 30, April 13, 20 and 27;  Saturdays at 8pm on: March 31, April 7, 14, 21 and 28;  Sundays at 2pm on: April 15 and 22
Where: Canyon Theatre Guild, 24242 Main Street, Old Town Newhall
Details:  How lucky can Santa Clarita get?  Canyon Theatre Guild has “Barefoot in the Park”.  Neil Simon’s play tells the story of newlyweds Paul and Corie.  Paul is a conservative young lawyer and Corie is a carefree young wife.  This comedy follows their new marriage and life in their five-story Greenwich Village walk-up.  KHTS’ own Morning Man, George Cummings plays the up-stairs neighbor Victor Velasco.  A survey of unbiased KHTS employees deems George to be a jaunty beret wearing scene stealer.  Corie and Paul play matchmaker with Victor and Corie’s mother when she comes for a visit.  On opening night there will be a champagne reception at 7pm.  Call 661-799-2702 for tickets.  Click here for more information and tickets.

Canyon Theatre Guild – “Anne of Green Gables”

City of Santa Clarita – Eggstravaganza or Splash & Dash Egg Hunt
When:  Saturday, April 7 at 10am (both events)
Where:  Eggstravaganza at Central Park, 27150 Bouquet Canyon Road and Splash & Dash at the Aquatic Center at Santa Clarita Aquatic Center Waterslide Pool, 20850 Centre Pointe Parkway
Details:  The City has two opportunities for our kids to celebrate Easter with an egg hunt.  At Eggstravaganza kids can participate in a traditional egg hunt and meet the Easter Bunny.  For more information on Eggstravaganza call 661-250-3787.  At Splash & Dash the kids collect eggs with prizes in the Waterslide Pool.  After the Splash, the kids can continue to play in the heated water.  Parents must accompany their children.  Lifejackets are available at no charge.  For more information on Splash and Dash Egg Hunt, call 661-250-3765.  Click here for the City’s website.

Special Olympics “Shoot-a-Thon”
When:  Saturday, April 7 from Noon-4pm
Where:  Sports Complex, 20880 Centre Point Parkway

HMNMH Blood Drive
When:  Thursday, April 5 from 7am-7pm
Where:  HMNMH/COC Clinical Education Center the Hospital grounds
Details:  Come to the Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital blood drive.  Henry Mayo recently received the Platinum Achievement Award during the American Red Cross’s Sponsor Regional Awards Presentation.  Every day there is a need for donated blood to keep people alive.  Blood donated at this blood drive will be dedicated to the hospital for patient use.  Please donate to help our community.

What: Tributefest 2012
When:  Saturday, May 12 from 11am-10p
Where:  Central Park, 27150 Bouquet Canyon Road, Santa Clarita

What:  Stand Up Guys: A Family Comedy Night
When:  May 18th – 8-10pm
Where:  23841 Newhall Ranch Rd, Valencia
Details:  “Standup Guys: A Family Comedy Show” benefits Veterans in the SCV Habitat for Heroes Program.  This belly laugh event will feature comedians Robert G. Lee, Kenn Kington and Daren Streblow.  Combining side splitting laughter, life changing content, advocacy and fundraising, the Standup Guys are coming to our Hometown.  This is a performance you won’t want to miss!  KHTS is selling tickets – Tickets: $15.00 before May 11th, $17.50 after May 11th and VIP Tickets: $20.00.  Click herefor more information.

What:  SCV Youth Project Sweet Charity Cake Auction
When:  Saturday, April 21 from 6:30-10pm
Where:  Tournament Players Club, 26550 Heritage View Lane
Details:  Design a cake for one of Santa Clarita’s truly unique fundraisers, the SCV Youth Project’s 4th Annual Sweet Charity Cake Auction.  Your cake can reflect your business mission, logo or product in any grand way you can imagine.  Then pair your cake with unique gifts such as trips, baskets, certificates for places or services.  Cakes will be awarded prizes based on originality, creativity and the cake that raises the most money.  Bakers are available to help you with your dream cake.  But, if cake decorating isn’t your thing, you can still appreciate all the imaginative work by coming to the event.  You’ll have an opportunity to bid on your favorite cake while enjoying cocktails and appetizers.  If past years are a sign this year’s event surely will be grand.  Click here for photos on last year’s event.  The cost to register a cake is $25.  General admission is $40.  Click here for more information and registration or call 661-257-9688.

What:  Child & Family – Taste of the Town
When:  Sunday, May 6 from 1-5pm
Where:  Man Biomedical Park, 25104 Rye Canyon Loop (near Copperhill)
Details:  Taste of the Town is the Child & Family Center’s premier event.  This event is a foodie’s dream come true.  Over 40 of our valley’s best restaurants and caterers will share their amazing food, wines, beers and ales.  The Champagne Diamond Drop is always popular.  Include live entertainment and live and silent auctions in a garden setting and you’ll remember why this event is considered “Best Charity Event in the SCV”.  KHTS is selling tickets to Taste of the Town.
