Who:  Circle of Hope – Swing Into The New Year
When:  December 31 from 7pm to Midnight
Where:  Robinson Ranch Golf Club, 27734 Sand Canyon Road

Who:  “A Ride For Life, A Tribute To George Hincapie” – Ride & Expo
When:  Saturday, December 31 (see website for schedule)
Where:  Central Park, 27234 Bouquet Canyon Road, Santa Clarita
Details:  Have you ever wondered what it would be like to ride alongside a Tour de France Cyclist?  You’ll have a chance without leaving Santa Clarita.  “Big” George Hincapie will be leading “A Ride For Life”, a cycling event of 30, 60 and 100 miles.  A portion of the proceeds benefits Children’s Hospital LA and the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clarita.  In addition to the cycling event, there is an Expo that will be family friendly.  The Expo at Central Park opens at 10am.  The Expo features a Family 5K fun run and walk, rock climbing wall and obstacle course.  There will be cycling booths with a variety of products.  And don’t miss the music and Food Trucks.  Click here to learn more about the cycling event, George Hincapie and the Expo.

Scratch Golf

Ice Station Valencia – Kidtastic Winter Camp
When:  Monday, January 2 through Friday, January 13
Where:  Ice Station Valencia, 27745 N. Smyth Drive, across from Valencia High School
Details:  The coolest camp in town is enrolling now.  Winter Wonderland Camp offers games, crafts and ice skating lessons.  Your kids can enjoy snow play and sled rides topped off with hot cocoa.  Half-day camps from 9am-noon or 1-4pm are being offered for ages 4-12.  Full-day camps from 9am-4pm are being offered for ages 9-12.  Click here for more information or call 661-775-8686.   

Paseo Club
When:  Now through December 31
Where:  Paseo Club, 27650 Dickason Drive at Newhall Ranch Road
Details: The Paseo Club offers something for everyone in your family.  The Paseo Club has 15 tennis courts, a 3-story Fitness Building, a junior size Olympic pool, a spa with sauna and steam rooms and special social events for members.  Contact them for a tour of the facilities. Dining Out
Details: Several of KHTS’ Restaurant Row members will be open for New Year’s Eve and/or New Year’s Day. Wolf Creek   has a special New Year’s menu. Salt Creek Grille has a rockin’ New Year’s Eve planned with Dave Ford & the Last Set and a special dinner. Oggi’s Pizza & Brewery is there for you if you’re not into an evening celebration and just want a great dinner.  Oggi’s will be open from 11am-9pm.  Margaritas Mexican Grill has a special New Year’s Day Brunch planned from 9am-2pm.  Kelly’s Steak & Seafood has plans for New Year’s Eve that includes dancing, dinner and party favors. Mixer’s Restaurant & Lounge has your New Year’s Eve covered with a special “Chef Select” menu from 7-9pm before the party starts at 9pm with a gourmet dessert buffet and Champagne toast. Piccola Trattoria will be serving from their regular menu starting at 5pm and reservations are required. Schooners Patio Grille will be open from 11am-2am with a special Ribeye Dinner available.  Roman Holiday Wine Lounge is a unique experience and fast becoming a new favorite in Santa Clarita. Roman Holiday will have special plates and cocktails with party favors and sparkling wine at midnight. Denny’s, now they aren’t a restaurant that you would typically think of for New Year’s, but I’m including them here because between now and January 17 when you eat at an SCV Denny’s you can donate to the SCV Senior Center Foundation  Purchase a raffle ticket for $1 and that ticket enrolls you in a drawing for an iPad, television, Kindle, mountain bike, 50 winners will win Grand Slams for one year and many more prizes.  The drawing takes place January 18 at the SCV Senior Center and winners need not be present to win. Click here to learn more about Restaurant Row.
