Power Honda–Sheriff’s Toy Drive
When:  Wednesday, December 7 from 4-7pm
Where:  Power Honda on Magic Mountain Parkway between Bouquet Canyon and Valencia Boulevard
Details:  Enjoy the holiday season at the Power Honda Sheriff’s Toy Drive.  KHTS and Power Honda are teaming up to give you an opportunity to spread joy this holiday season by donating a toy to those in need.  December 7th is the kickoff date, and includes a night of music, fun and holiday spirit.  Local Santa Clarita Valley choirs (from local schools) will perform songs of the season.  So, go out and choose a toy (or several) and bring it to the Toy Drive.  Your kids will even get a chance to visit with Santa.  Click here for more information and a line-up of the performances.   

Futbol Club Santa Clarita vs Chival Guadalajara
When:  Sunday, December 11 at 3pm
Where:  Valencia High School, 27801 N. Dickason Drive, Valencia

LPAC – “The Nutcracker”

CTG – “A Christmas Carol, The Musical”

St. Bonnie’s Sanctuary
When:  Saturday, December 10 from noon-4pm
Where:  St. Bonnie’s Sanctuary, 27567 Oak Springs Road, Canyon Country

Who:  SCV Compassionate Friends – Candle Lighting

Where:  Canyon County Park, 17615 Soledad Canyon Road
Details:  The Santa Clarita Valley Chapter of Compassionate Friends is hosting their 11th annual Worldwide Candle Lighting Ceremony to honor the memories of all children who have died.  Everyone is invited to attend.  Candles will be provided.  Click here to read a story on the event by KHTS’ own, Hannah Taylor.   

Who:  Ice Station – Family Snow Day and Learn Hockey

Where:  Ice Station Valencia, 27745 N. Smyth Drive, Valencia, across from Valencia High School
Details:  Family Snow Day will be held Saturday, December from 1:00-4:15pm and Sunday, December 11 from 1:30pm-4:30pm.  Child admission (17 and under) is $12.  Child admission includes Snow Play Area on the Pond (in shoes, no skates), skate rental and ice skating, hot cocoa and meeting Santa.  Adult admission is free (skate rental $5).  The Learn Hockey Program is a free four week session for children of all ages.  They will learn the basics of the game including ice skating, puck handling, passing and shooting.  This is done on an ice surface designed for beginning players.  The program is taught by professional coaches.  The program is every Saturday at 9am.  All the equipment needed will be provided on a loaner basis for the four weeks.  A $150 refundable security deposit is required.  All participating children will receive a jersey.  Call 661-775-8686 to reserve a spot for your child.  Click here for more information on Family Snow Day and Learn Hockey.

Details:  The Santa Clarita Artist Association (SCAA) now has a Gallery at the Valencia Town Center.  Come to their Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.  The Art Show & Artists’ Reception will feature musical entertainment, wine and appetizers.   All are invited.

Who:  GVHS Holiday Concert
When:  Tuesday, December 13 at 7pm
Where:  Golden Valley High School

Details:  The Blind Boys of Alabama are bringing their holiday tour, “Go Tell It On The Mountain Christmas Show” to the Lancaster Performing Arts Center.  The Blind Boys of Alabama are recognized worldwide as living legends of gospel music.  The show is a performance that appeals to all ages and includes their favorite Christmas music and “their usual foot-stompin’ romp through all five of their Grammy Award-winning albums”.  Click here for tickets and more information.
