Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center – Ozomatli

Details: Ozomatli has a unique blend of music combining “…a notorious urban-Latino-and-beyond collision of hip hop and salsa, dancehall and cumbia, samba and funk, merengue and comparsa, East L.A. Memory Loss, Dementia & Alzheimers: The Basics
When: Wednesday, January 18 from 1-2pm
Where: Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center, 22900 Market Street, Santa Clarita
Details: This free lecture addresses aging, memory impairment and Alzheimer’s disease.  Alzheimer’s comprises 50% to 80% of dementia cases.  It can produce severe memory loss and impairment of one’s intellectual and physical abilities.  It is the 6th leading cause of death in the United States.  Alzheimer’s has substantial emotional, financial and physical stress on families and care givers.  This free talk is part of the Senior Center’s ongoing Health Education and Wellness program, which includes lectures, clinics, public health outreach, caregiver support events and much more.  Pre-registration is not necessary.  For further information call Diana at 661-255-1588, extension 128.  Click here to learn more about the SCV Senior Center.  

E-Waste Recycling
When:  Saturday, January 14 from 10am-4pm
Where: Saugus High School, 21900 Centurion Way, Saugus
Details: Clean out your garage and closets for the Saugus High School Softball E-Waste Recycling.  Gather all your electronics:  computers, monitors, televisions, cell phones, ink toner cartridges, printers, microwaves, cables and wires, laptops and all other items that can be plugged in.  Help Saugus High Softball go green.
