Teen Life Leadership Training w/ Alex Urbina
When:  Saturday, January 21 from 10am-6pm and Sunday, January 22 from 10am-5pm

LPAC – David Hidalgo & Louis Perez of Los Lobos: Stories & Songs

Where:  Lancaster Performing Arts Center, 750 West Lancaster Boulevard, Lancaster
Details:  David Hidalgo and Louie Perez are the main songwriters of the legendary rock band Los Lobos.  They will be bringing us “…a night of intimate acoustic music and priceless tales that will shine a light on the creative process of their songwriting.”  Hidalgo and Perez will perform a set of their most memorable songs, and then will engage the audience in a discussion of their work.  Click here for more information.

Elks Lodge Roast – John Heys

Health & Business Expo – Motorcycle & Car Show
When:  Saturday, January 21 from 8am-2pm
Where:  Santa Clarita Athletic Club, 24640 Wiley Canyon Road

SCV Chamber of Commerce 88th Annual Installation
When:  Friday, January 20 at 6pm

Details:  The SCV Chamber of Commerce 88th Annual Installation will celebrate and honor members and the incoming Board of Directors.  This year the theme is 007 Monte Carlo Casino Night.  There will be casino gaming and dancing to round out the theme! Santa Clarita Culture Night
When:  Friday, January 20 starting at 5pm
Where:  Newhall Community Center, 22421 Market Street, Newhall
Details:  Come have fun while learning about international traditions and cuisines at the City of Santa Clarita’s 7th Annual Culture Night.  This free event will include multi-cultural performances, arts and crafts and diverse food items from a variety of cultures, countries and continents.  This year’s theme is “Dances from Around the World”, and will feature performances from Brazil, Rwanda, Japan, Mexico and the Pacific Islands.  Kids can participate in arts and crafts projects based on Mexican, Asian and African cultures.  Click here to learn more.

What:  Golden Valley High School Band Grub Night at Chili’s
When:  Wednesday, January 25 from 5-8pm
Where:  Chili’s Restaurant, 19071 Golden Valley Road in the Golden Valley Plaza
Details:  Golden Valley High School is holding a fundraiser for the school’s Marching Band, Jazz Band and Color Guard.  The theme of the night is “Staff Serving Students” since the school principal and counselors will be serving.  Chili’s may never be the same.  Click here to learn more.

What:  Hart Park Art Event in Celebration of Black History Month
When:  Saturday and Sunday, January 21 and 22 from 10am-4pm
Where:  Hart Park, 24151 Newhall Avenue, Newhall
Details:  In celebration of Black History Month, the County of Los Angeles’s William S. What:  SENSES – TailG8 Party!
When:  Thursday, January 19 from 7-11pm
Where:  Main Street, Old Town Newhall
