Canyon Theatre Guild – “A Little Princess”
When:  Saturday Matinees at 2pm on:  January 28 and 29, February 4, 11, 18, 19 and 25;  Sundays at 6pm on:  February 5, 12, 26
Where:  Canyon Theatre Guild, 24242 Newhall Street, Old Town Newhall

Canyon Theatre Guild – “Gypsy”
When:  Friday and Saturday Evening at 8pm on:  January 27 and 28; February 4, 11, 17, 18, 24 and 25; Sunday Matinees at 2pm on:  February 5, 12 and 26
Where:  Canyon Theatre Guild, 24242 Newhall Street, Old Town Newhall
Details:  Canyon Theatre Guild proudly presents “Gypsy”, the musical that tells the story of the ultimate stage mother, Mama Rose, and her daughters.  This Broadway staple brings us songs we all know and love, such as “Everythings Comin’ Up Roses” and Let Me Entertain You”. This production contains mature material and is not recoemmended for children.  Tickets are $17 for adults and $15 for seniors. Scratch Golf – Free Swing Evaluation & Club Review
When:  Friday, January 27 through Sunday, January 29
Where:  Scratch Golf, 25621 Hercules, Santa Clarita (near the Kelly Johnson Parkway loop)
Details:  Call Scratch Golf now to schedule your club evaluation.  The first 10 people to sign up get a free glove!  Get your clubs evaluated for irons loft and lies checked, driver evaluations using the data from the simulators, Henry-Griffitts Clubfitting System for new club sets. Scratch does putter fittings too!  Custom fit clubs are available for juniors and adults, men and women, beginners and experienced golfers.  It is crucial that as juniors grow, they get re-fit for their golf clubs. This is where the Henry-Griffitts advantage comes in. Youth development upgrade options are available through H-G, the only club manufacturer to offer this program.  Poorly-fitted equipment makes it harder for golfers to make a strong, balanced golf swing. SCPAC – “Peter & The Wolf”
When:  Saturday, January 28 at 2pm
Where:  Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center at College of the Canyons, 26455 Rockwell Canyon  Road, Santa Clarita
Details:  The children’s classic, Peter & The Wolf is coming to the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center as part of their Almost Free Family Series.  Peter & The Wolf tells the tale of a young boy who must be creative and brave to save his animal friends from the wolf.  “Brought to life by the Pushcart Players, this captivating tale, enriched by glorious music and visual effects, will win the hearts of all who view it.”  Tickets are $10, $12 and $15.  Click here for more information and tickets. 

LPAC – “Ballet Folklorico de Antioquia, Columbia”
When:  Jan 29 at 3:00pm
Where:  Lancaster Performing Arts Center 750 West Lancaster Boulevard, Lancaster
Details:  “Ballet Folklorico de Antioquia, Columbia features traditional music, ritualistic dance and physical theater, as well as contemporary music and dance, accentuated with brilliantly-colored and dazzling costumes.”  Audiences have called their artistry a “spectacular show of lights, music and dance!”  Ballet Foldlorico de Antioquia, Colombia began over 20 years ago, and has performed to national and international audiences.  Tickets are $10 for children, $19 for balcony seating and $29 orchestra seating.  Click here for more information. 

What:  Golden Valley High School Band Fundraiser
When:  Saturday, January 28 from 8am-2pm
Where:  27051 Robert C. Lee Parkway, Santa Clarita (near Sierra Highway)
Details:  Clean out your garage, closets and spare bedrooms for items to donate to the Golden Valley High School Band Goodwill Donation Drive.  They take lightly worn or new clothing, small appliances, furniture and more.

Rage Performing Dance Team Golf Fundraiser
When:  Sunday, January 29 with check-in at 8:30am and shotgun at 10am
Where:  Robinson Ranch Golf Club, 27734 Sand Canyon, Canyon Country
Details:  The Rage Performing Dance Team is holding a fundraising golf tournament at Robinson Ranch Golf Club.  There are still a few tee times available, so call now.  Proceeds will go towards training, upcoming competition fees and costumes.  Rage Performing Arts Complex has programs for dancers, actors and singers, from beginners to professionals – to receive training from recognized Los Angeles choreographers and industry professionals.  For more information call Laurie at 661-775-6911. 

SCV Soroptimist – Social
