Details: Come to Santa Clarita Valley International Charter School’s “Visions in Education” Benefit Dinner. This year’s honoree is Dennis King, former member of College of the Canyons Foundation Board, member of William S. Hart District Board of Trustees and managing partner with the accounting firm: King, King, Alleman and Jensen. The evening features cocktails, dinner, dancing and auctions. Details: This Seder, hosted by Sisterhoods of Congregation Beth Shalom & Temple Beth Ami, will retell the story of the liberation of the Israelites from slavery in ancient Egypt and will highlight the role of women in Jewish history. The Passover story is found in the book of Exodus in the Old Testament. Seders are conducted in similar ways all over the world on the 14th day of the Hebrew calendar month of Nisan, which corresponds this year to April 6th. Details: “Back to the War Zone” is holding a fundraiser at Route 66 Classic Grill. This non-profit’s objective is to fund a trip to the WWII Memorial in Washington D.C. for a group of local WWII Vets. They also will be placing a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. A minimum donation of $75 includes dinner. There will be a musical tribute to our local WWII veteran heroes presented by Jimmy Carnelli singing a variety of WWII classics.
