Power Honda–Sheriff’s Toy Drive
When:  Wednesday, December 7 from 4-7pm
Where:  Power Honda on Magic Mountain Parkway between San Fernando Rd and Valencia Blvd
Details:  While you are out shopping this weekend, please remember the upcoming Power Honda Sheriff’s Toy Drive.  KHTS and Power Honda are teaming up to give you an opportunity to spread joy this holiday season by donating a toy to those in need.  December 7th is the kickoff date, and includes a night of music, fun and holiday spirit.  Local Santa Clarita Valley choirs (from local schools) will perform songs of the season.  So, go out and choose a toy (or several) and bring it to the Toy Drive.  Your kids will even get a chance to visit with Santa.  Click here for more information and a line-up of the performances.

Small Business Saturday
When:  Saturday, November 26
Where:  Santa Clarita Small Businesses
Details:  Just a reminder that Saturday is a day that we can all help our local small businesses while in turn helping ourselves.  The idea is to remember those local small businesses that have endeared themselves to our community.  By bringing some of our holiday gift shopping to them, we will get great service and special gifts for our holiday shopping list.  Shop small on Saturday.

Home Instead – Be A Santa To A Senior
When:  ends Friday, December 9
Where:  KHTS is participating in this program to help seniors
Details:  The “Be A Santa To A Senior” program gives us the opportunity to spread holiday cheer to a local senior who is either lonely, isolated, neglected and/or financially challenged.  The seniors are screened by Home Instead Senior Care as those least likely to receive any acknowledgement this holiday season.  To be a Santa, visit a local participating business, like KHTS, and pick up an ‘ornament’.  The ornaments are specific to a senior and state a few modest gift preferences.  Typical preferences are slippers, socks, gloves, lotions, postage stamps, stationary and store gift cards.  Go shopping, then take the gift back to the local business.  You’ll feel the holiday spirit knowing that you made a senior feel a part of the holidays.
