Power Honda–Sheriff’s Toy Drive
When:  Wednesday, December 7 from 4-7pm
Where:  Power Honda on Magic Mountain Parkway between Bouquet Canyon and Valencia Boulevard
Details:  While you are out shopping this weekend, please remember the upcoming Power Honda Sheriff’s Toy Drive.  KHTS and Power Honda are teaming up to give you an opportunity to spread joy this holiday season by donating a toy to those in need.  December 7th is the kickoff date, and includes a night of music, fun and holiday spirit.  Local Santa Clarita Valley choirs (from local schools) will perform songs of the season.  So, go out and choose a toy (or several) and bring it to the Toy Drive.  Your kids will even get a chance to visit with Santa.  Click here for more information and a line-up of the performances. 

Bouquet Canyon Center Holiday Celebration
When:  Saturday, December 3 from noon-3pm
Where:  Bouquet Center on Bouquet at Newhall Ranch Road
Details:  Celebrate the holidays at the Bouquet Canyon Center.  KHTS will be there with giveaways and our antique 1948 Mack fire truck.  Choral groups will be on hand to sing in the holidays.  You won’t want to miss the English Hand Bell Choir or Valley View Elementary School Choir.  Bouquet Canyon Center will have some incredible sales to help you with your holiday gift giving.  Enjoy relaxed and convenient shopping.  Come say hello to KHTS’ own Carl Goldman.  Come to Bouquet Canyon Center on Saturday, December 3rd  from noon to 3pm.  Bouquet Canyon Center is on Bouquet Canyon at Newhall Ranch Road – the Ross shopping center.  Visit:  BouquetCenter.com

CTG – “A Christmas Carol, The Musical”
When:  Friday and Saturday at 8pm on December 3, 9, 10, 16 and 17; Saturday and Sunday at 2pm on December 4, 11, 17 and 18; Weeknights at 7pm on December 20 and 21
Where:  Canyon Theatre Guild, 24242 Main Street, Old Town Newhall

HMNMH – Holiday Home Tour
When:  Saturday, December 3 from 9:30am-4:30pm
Where:  four local estate homes
Details:  Four local residences are decorated in full holiday splendor as part of the Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital Holiday Home Tour.   Proceeds benefit the HMNMH neonatal intensive care unit which is due to open soon.  The day includes a Home Tour Boutique featuring over 40 vendors.  The boutique will be held from 9:30am to 4:30pm at a new location at Hart Park, adjacent to William S. Hart Park, 24151 Newhall Avenue.  For those who would enjoy the tour during evening hours, they may attend the Home Tour Preview Gala on Friday, December 2 from 6-9pm.  The Preview Gala includes a tour of the homes and a buffet dinner at the Tournament Players Club from 6:30-10:30pm.  Tickets for the Gala are $100.  Call 661-253-8051 for more information.

SCV Mothers Of Twins – Holiday Boutique
When:  Saturday, December 3 from 10am-4pm
Where:  St Stephen’s Church, 24901 Orchard Village Road
Details:  The 10th annual SCV Mothers of Twins Holiday Boutique will feature over 20 vendors selling a variety of holiday items and baked goods.  You are sure to find gifts to fill your wish lists, holiday decorating pieces, specialty items, stocking stuffers and more.  There will be a raffle for a basket of items valued at over $8,000.  Call 661-212-0998.

Placerita Nature Center – Holiday Craft Faire
When:  Saturday, December 3 and Sunday, December 4 from 10am-3pm on both days
Where:  Placerita Nature Center, 19152 Placerita Canyon Road
Details:  Make wreaths and centerpieces from a variety of live greenery, holly, pinecones, mistletoe, dried fruit and seed pods.  For a minimal cost, you can craft items from kits that also include ribbon, wire and a glue gun.  Kids crafts include candle dipping and pinecone art.  There will be face painting and button making, too.  Santa will make an appearance.  Parking and admission are free.  Visit:  Placerita.org    

Arts & Literacy Festival
When:  Saturday, December 3 from 10am to 3pm
Where:  Newhall Park, 24923 Newhall Avenue
Details:  Come to the 5th Annual Arts and Literacy Festival.  There will be theater groups, authors and activities to promote literacy and arts for all ages.  The day will include storytelling, art murals, ice sculpture, music and crafts.  Click here for a full story on the festival.  Visit:  scveducationfoundation.org

HMNMH – Community Tree Lighting
When:  Sunday, December 4 from 2-5pm
Where:  Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital, 23845 McBean Parkway
Details:  This year marks the 26th annual Community Tree Lighting celebration.  The event will include music, entertainment and refreshments.  Kids can join in cookie decorating, letters to Santa and taking free photos with Santa.  Santa arrives at 2:30pm.  Photos take place from 2:30-4:30pm.  The tree lighting takes place at 5pm.  Click here to read more on the event.   

Valley View Fundraiser
When:  Thursday, December 1
Where:  Round Table Pizza in Canyon Country on Soledad Canyon at Sand Canyon”
Details:  Help save music at Valley View Elementary School by dining out at Round Table Pizza.  Make sure to mention “Valley View” to insure that the school gets credit.  The school choir will be singing for the cause center. 

GVHS Grub Night
When: Monday, December 5 at 7pm
Where:  La Hacienda Don Cuco’s on Camp Plenty in Canyon Country
Details:  The Golden Valley High School Jazz Band will perform at this special fundraiser to benefit the school’s band program.  Don’t miss these talented musicians while enjoying a wonderful dinner.

Home Instead – Be A Santa To A Senior
When:  ends Friday, December 9
Where:  KHTS is participating in this program to help seniors
Details:  The “Be A Santa To A Senior” program gives us the opportunity to spread holiday cheer to a local senior who is either lonely, isolated, neglected and/or financially challenged.  The seniors are screened by Home Instead Senior Care as those least likely to receive any acknowledgement this holiday season.  To be a Santa, visit a local participating business, like KHTS, and pick up an ‘ornament’.  The ornaments are specific to a senior and state a few modest gift preferences.  Typical preferences are slippers, socks, gloves, lotions, postage stamps, stationary and store gift cards.  Go shopping, then, take the gift back to the local business.  You’ll feel the holiday spirit knowing that you made a senior feel a part of the holidays.

Scratch Golf – Golf Camp
