Real Life Church – Halloween Hoedown
When:  Saturday, October 29 from 5-8pm
Where: 23841 Newhall Ranch Road
Details:  Bring your kids dressed in their favorite costume for Real Life Church Halloween Hoedown.  This free event will have live music, popcorn, cotton candy, carmel apples, baked goods, carnival games with prizes and photo opportunities.  There will be trick-or-treating.  Lamppost Pizza and Chick-Fil-A will be there with food for purchase.  Real Life Church staff members have worked on baked good and goodie baskets to be part of a Silent Auction.  All are welcome.  But, please, no scary theme costumes.  Click here for more information.   

Church on the Way – Retro Fest
When:  Monday, October 31 from 5-8pm
Where:  23415 Cinema Drive
Details:  Church on the Way’s Retro Fest is a free and fun event for all, and offers a safe alternative for Halloween.  The theme is Retro Fest, with dressing up and playing music from the 60s, 70s and 80s.  Bring your family and friends.  There will be carnival games, live dj, prizes and inflatables.  You won’t want to miss the row of food trucks.  The kids will love the Trunk or Treat – going trick-or-treating from car trunk to car trunk.  Click here for more information.   

Grace Baptist – Fall Festival
When:  Monday, October 31 from 6:30-8:30pm
Where:  22833 Copper Hill
Details:  Everyone in the family will enjoy Fall Festival.  There will be games, contests, face painting, food and candy.  Don’t miss out on karaoke, chili cookoff, cake decorating, a Bible message and a skating demo.  Trunk or Treat will have the kids loading up on candy treats.  Grace Baptist promises some cool surprises.  To enter just trade a large bag(s) of candy for your family’s ticket.  Dress in costume but, please, no scary costumes.  Click here for more information.

Leukemia & Lymphoma Society – Light the Night
When:  Saturday, October 29 beginning at 5pm
Where:  Bridgeport Park, 23520 Bridgeport Lane off Newhall Ranch Road
Details:  The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s inspirational event, “Light the Night”, is back again this year.  Festivities begin at 5pm with live music.  The Remembrance Ceremony begins at 6pm honoring lost loved ones.  The Light the Night Walk is the definitive signal of hope that brings light into the darkness of cancer.  Participants carry illuminated and color-coded balloons representing survivors (white), supporters (red) and those who’ve lost a loved one to blood cancer (gold).  Funds raised by teams or individual walkers support blood cancer research and educational materials and support services for patients and their families.  Since this year’s event is Halloween weekend, organizers have made a special effort to make the evening fun with the addition of food, music and community spirit in the form of a costume contest, trick-or-treat candy and a spooky fun house.  Click here to learn more information and registration.   

Lombardi Ranch – Halloween Pumpkin Festival
When:  Saturdays from 9am-6pm and Sundays from 9am-5pm
Where:  Lombardi Ranch, 29527 Bouquet Canyon Rd in Saugus
Details:  This is the last weekend to get into the spirit of the changing seasons with the Halloween Pumpkin Festival at Lombardi Ranch. Lombardi Ranch has been a staple in Santa Clarita for over 30 years, especially at pumpkin time.  Enjoy Scarecrow Alley, fresh produce, live bands, petting zoos, wagon rides, face paintings, pony rides and more.  Bake sales happen every weekend by various Santa Clarita organizations.  As every Santa Clarita school age child knows, no little one leaves empty handed.  There are balloons, stickers, pencils and candy for each little hand.  Come to the Ranch, and you’ll be sure to be humming the everlasting Lombardi Ranch song by David Reeves Carpenter.  Click here for information on Lombardi Ranch and all that they have to offer.   

CTG “Dracula”
When:  Friday, October 28 and Saturday, October 29 at 8pm
Where:  Canyon Theater Guild, 24242 Main Street, Old Town Newhall
Details:  You’ll surely be ready for Halloween after seeing CTG’s “Dracula”.  Don’t miss this exciting adaptation of Bram Stoker’s “Dracula”.  The production displays humor and horror while telling the story of Dracula.  This play is not recommended for children.  Click here for tickets and more information.

CTG “Little Prince”
When:  Saturday, October 29 and Sunday, October 30 at 2pm
Where:  Canyon Theater Guild, 24242 Main Street, Old Town Newhall
Details:  “The only limit is imagination.”  The Little Prince is a charmingly magical story that your entire family will enjoy.  Click here for tickets and more information.

Fox Feed – Fall Harvest Festival
When:  Sunday, October 30 from Noon-6pm
Where:  Fox Feed Hay & Grain, 17028 Sierra Highway, Canyon Country
Details:  This First Annual Fall Harvest Festival will be tons of family fun all for a good cause: the Heads Up Therapy On Horseback for children with special needs and at-risk youth.  The day will have bands, kid themed game booths with prizes, silent auction, Scare House and Jail House.  Food, drinks and popcorn will be available.  Don’t miss out on the Pumpkin Decorating Contest.  Bring your pumpkin ‘entry ready’, it can be carved, painted or even craft decorated (contest entry fee 2 tickets).  Admission is $3 per person or $10 per person that includes 10 spending tickets.  Children six and under are free.  Click here to read more on the event and Heads Up Therapy on Horseback.

What:  SCV Food Pantry – Run/Walk Against Hunger
When:  Sunday, October 30 starting at 8am – registration begins at 7am
Where:   Newhall Park – South Fork Trail at Newhall Avenue and Dalbey Drive
Details:  Run/Walk Against Hunger/Kiddie Run and Halloween Costume Contest is an event that will warm your heart and bring food to the table to those in need in the SCV.  The day is built for runners and walkers and is sanctioned by the Southern California Track and Field Association.  Registered entrants can participate in the Halloween Costume Contest.  Entries must be filled out prior to the race.  Click here to register for the run or to learn more about the Santa Clarita Food Pantry or call 661-255-9078.   

What:  Ice Station – Halloween
When:  Saturday, October 29 through Monday, October 31
Where:  Ice Station Valencia, 27745 N. Smyth Drive (across from Valencia High)

What:  COC – “Drowsy Chaperone”
When:  Friday and Saturday, October 28-29 at 8pm and on Sunday, October 30 at 2pm
Where:   College of the Canyon Performing Arts Center

What: Ice Station – Valencia Flyers Hockey
When: Friday and Saturday, October 28 and 29 starting at 7:15pm; Matinee game on Sunday, October 30 at 1pm
Where:  Ice Station Valencia, 27745 N. Smyth Drive (across from Valencia High)

What: Sheriff’s Haunted House & Halloween Carnival
When:  Sunday, October 30 from 11am-4pm 
Where:  Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, 23740 Magic Mountain Parkway
Details: Come trick-or-treat at the Sheriff’s Haunted House & Halloween Carnival.  There will be game booths, food, clowns (scary!), moonbounce and displays.  For kids under 6 there is a Jailhouse Tour that is geared to be less scary.  The costume contest times are:  under 2 at 12:30pm, ages 2-4 at 1:00pm, age 5-7 at 1:30pm, age 8-10 at 2:00pm, age 11-12 at 2:30pm and age 13 to adult at 3:00pm.  A $1 donation is requested to enter.  As the Sheriffs say, this event is “hauntingly fun”.

When:  Saturday, October 29 from 7pm-midnight
Where:  Waller’s Gym Jam Academy, 26515 Ruether Avenue
