Michael Hoefflin-Evening Under The Stars
When:  Saturday, September 24 from 6-11pm
Where:  Mann Biomedical Park on Kelly Johnson Parkway
Details:  The evening will sparkle under the stars at Michael Hoefflin Foundation’s premier event: Evening Under the Stars.  Former lead singer of The Temptations and The Drifters, Louis Price, will be performing.  Salt Creek Grill will cater dinner.  Guests will have an opportunity to bid on live and silent auction items.  The Reverse Raffle will feature a 14 day cruise to Hawaii courtesy of Princess Cruises.  Click here for more information and tickets.  All proceeds benefit the Michael Hoefflin Foundation, a non-profit that provides practical, financial and emotional support to children diagnosed with cancer and their families in the SCV.

Castaic Days
When:  Friday, September 23 from 5-9pm and Saturday, September 24 from 10am-8pm
Where:  Castaic Lake’s Lower Lagoon, 32132 Castaic Lake Drive
Details:  Castaic Days is here to start fall off with tons of family fun.  This outdoor festival is free, parking is $5.  This year’s festival will feature Gourmet Food Trucks, Splash Dogs dock jumping, and continuous live entertainment, including Grammy award nominees Lisa Haley and The Zydekats.  Kids will enjoy the climbing wall, petting zoo, electronic video gaming and other fun activities.  There will be a dog adoption event, arts and crafts and local vendors.  Click here for more information and a full line-up of the entertainment.

Auto Club of So Cal-Celebrity Cruises Travel Show

Lombardi Ranch
When:  Open seven days a week from 9am-5pm
Where:  Lombardi Ranch, 29527 Bouquet Canyon Road
Details:  Get into the spirit of the changing seasons.  Lombardi Ranch has been a staple for over 30 years in Santa Clarita, especially at pumpkin time.  Enjoy the fresh produce, live bands, petting zoos, wagon rides, face paintings, pony rides and more.  Bake sales happen every weekend by various organizations throughout Santa Clarita.  As every Santa Clarita school age child knows, no little one leaves empty handed.  There are balloons, stickers, pencils and candy for each little hand.  Start planning now for the October 2nd Scarecrow Contest.  Come to the Ranch and you’ll be sure to be humming the everlasting Lombardi Ranch song by David Reeves Carpenter.  Click here for information on Lombardi Ranch and all that they have to offer.   

GVHS Jazz Band Fundraiser – Benefits American Red Cross
When:  Monday, September 26 from 5-9pm
Where:  Route 66 on Soledad Canyon Road next to Edwards Cinema, 18730 Soledad Cyn Rd
Details:  Golden Valley High School has one of the best jazz bands in Santa Clarita – 17 talented musicians creating musical memories.  Selflessly, they are performing at 6:00pm as a special fundraiser to benefit the American Red Cross.    Come in during the fundraiser and Route 66 will donate 15% of the net sales directly to the school and GVHS Band & Color Guard are re-gifting the funds to the American Red Cross.   Volunteers from American Red Cross will be on hand to also accept direct donations.  Click here for a flyer to take to the event.

What:  Santa Clarita Street Fair
When:  Saturday, September 24, from 9am-5pm and Sunday, September 25 from 8am-3pm
Where:  College of the Canyon, Parking Lot 8, near the football stadium
Details:  The 4th weekend of every month the Santa Clarita Street Fair comes to town.  This festive and fun marketplace entertains the entire family.  You’ll find arts & crafts, handmade items and a variety of other merchandise.  Gourmet food trucks arrive in time for lunch, on Saturdays from 11am-2pm and Sundays from 12:30pm-3pm.  Farmer’s Market operates from 8am-12pm on Sunday.  Parking is free.  A portion of proceeds raised benefit the SCV Emergency Winter Shelter.  Click here for further information. 

What:  Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital & Senior Center “Falls Prevention Fair”
When:  Friday, September 23 from 9-11am
Where:  SCV Senior Center, 22900 Market Street in NewhallDetails:  The Falls Prevention Fair will include free health screening, medication review and fall prevention strategies.  A combination of interventions can reduce falls with older adults.  Click here to read a story on this event.   

What:  Ice Station Valencia “Saturday Night Special Skating & Broomball”
When:  Saturday, September 24 from 9:30-11:30pm
Where:  Ice Station Valencia, 27745 North Smyth Drive, near Valencia High School
Details:  Ice Station is offering an 18 year-old-and-up late night Special Skating & Broomball event on Saturday nights.  Ice Skate and/or play broomball.  Broomball is a game played on the ice with tennis shoes where you use broom-like equipment to hit a rubber ball into hockey nets.  Click here for more information or call 661-755-8686.  

What:  Boy & Girls Club-Day For Kids
When:  Saturday, September 24 from 12-5pm

Details:  Enjoy a gallery of artwork for three days at Union Bank.  Twenty two members of the Artist Association created the art.  On Friday, Union Bank will present a $1,000 sponsorship for the upcoming SCAA Art Classic Gala.  The presentation will be made at an artist’s reception – the public is invited.  Refreshments will be served.
