More than 30 entries have been returned from drivers throughout the country within a week of the release of the entry form.
“We’re blown away by the response from the race teams. We’ve never seen a reaction to an event like we’re seeing for the Winter Showdown,” stated the event promoter and SRL director, Larry Collins.
Since announcing $25,000.00 to win and $125,000.00 in prize money for the Super Late Models/Tour cars for the Winter Showdown, the organizers are now proud to announce the addition of the Lucas Oil Modified Series and North State Modified Series to the weekend’s race line up.
There will be no series points awarded to the modified drivers, but they will be competing in what may be the biggest Modified race in the region, with a $4,000.00 pay day to the winner.
“We’re very pleased to be hosting the Modifieds at the Winter Showdown, and fortunate to have the staffs of the Lucas Oil Modifieds and North State Modifieds officiating the Modified event for us.” stated Collins.
Due to the huge response, race tickets and pit passes will be available starting Friday – online only. Visit the raceway’s website to find Single Day Race Tickets and Multi Day Race Tickets & Multi Day Pit Passes.
