Circle of Hope, Inc. is celebrating its 10th anniversary as a nonprofit support group this year assisting those with breast cancer who work or live in the SCV.
Tippet said the organization receives no outside funding from national cancer organizations, or elsewhere.
“Everything we spend is raised here and stays here in the SCV,” he said.
Clients of Circle of Hope, Inc. can receive financial assistance with the costs of cancer, including treatment and second opinions.
In addition, emotional and educational support is also offered.
Tippet said Circle of Hope, Inc. is expanding the range of cancers it covers.
“We are no longer just a breast cancer support group,” he said.
Other cancers now covered by Circle of Hope, Inc. include uterine, ovarian, cervical, colon and prostate and testicular.

“We are now helping with six different cancers and are looking to expand to melanoma, as well,” Tippet said.
Circle of Hope, Inc. is an all-volunteer organization, said Tippet.
Tippet takes no salary as executive director.
“Every penny raised goes directly into providing help to our clients battling cancer in the SCV,” he said.
Logix Federal Credit Union will serve as title sponsor of the event.
“I want everyone to leave the event happy and feel they have received value for their money,” Tippet said.
