Those in attendance will be able to hear information about the results of a Santa Clarita air quality study, called the sub regional plan, as well as about air regulations and permitting requirements related to the Cemex Mine project. Experts will also discuss how to minimize air pollution in the Santa Clarita Valley.
The Air Quality Management District is the government agency responsible for ensuring the air quality in Santa Clarita and throughout the state. The City has partnered with them to address air quality issues in the Santa Clarita Valley in an effort to maintain the health and beauty of the City.
“We are grateful to the South Coast Air Quality Management District for assisting us with the air quality study in Santa Clarita,” said Travis Lange, Environmental Services Manager for the City. “With their assistance, we look forward to addressing this substantial health and environmental issue in our valley.”
