Trinity Classical Academy’s Young Americans For Freedom To Remember 9/11

Students, faculty, staff, friends and family members, led by students of Trinity Classical Academy’s Chapter of Young Americans for Freedom (YAF), will honor the 2,977 lives that were lost 14 years ago on September 11, 2001 by placing an American flag for each loved one, first responder, rescue worker, volunteer and community resident who succumbed to the deadliest terror attack ever on U.S. soil Friday, September 11 at 7:30 a.m. on the front lawn of Trinity Classical Academy (28310 Kelly Johnson Parkway, Santa Clarita, 91355).

Students will also honor the four American officials who died in September 11, 2012 terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya with flags.

Trinity Classical Academy, located in Valencia, California, is a classical Christian education academy for the Santa Clarita Valley. Founded with a vision to become a K-12 Christian, classical, college preparatory academy serving the Santa Clarita Valley and beyond, Trinity Classical Academy opened in 2001, after several years of planning. Upon opening their doors, Trinity Classical Academy only had 26 students enrolled in kindergarten through second grade but something new and exciting about this school was evident.

Most recently, Trinity Classical Academy has grown to have over 500 students enrolled in grades transitional kindergarten (TK) through 12th grade for the 2014-15 school year. By 2018 it is expected to have three classes each in grades TK-12, bringing their enrollment to over 800 students and making Trinity Classical Academy one of the largest classical Christian schools in the country.

Trinity Classical Academy is unlike any other classical Christian education academy in the Santa Clarita Valley. The school’s Christian worldview is taught throughout all their subject areas, from theology and Bible classes to math, literature and all other scholastic disciplines. The classical tradition of teaching is also a time-honored method that has been a staple in Western culture and the Church since the second century. Trinity Classical Academy

At Trinity Classical Academy, parents are assured that their child will be receiving an education with outstanding, dedicated faculty, comprised of passionate, devoted Christian teachers who truly enjoy teaching. In addition to an excellent scholastic curriculum and an outstanding faculty, students have a wealth of enrichment opportunities available to them. Trinity Classical Academy has an orchestra, choir, worship team and a drumline, as well as cheerleading squads at all levels.

Santa Clarita Schools – Educaiton

Students at Trinity Classical Academy are able to compete in various local leagues such as flag football, basketball, golf and cross country. The high school sports teams program has even become a member of the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF). Trinity Classical Academy teams include 8-man football, volleyball, soccer (boys and girls), basketball, baseball, softball and coed golf.

The curriculum at Trinity Classical Academy is very challenging and targets the developmental strengths of Grammar School students by focusing on memorization of facts and principles that comprise every subject area. Students use several learning techniques such as songs, chants, recitation, diagramming, acting and creating timeliness to engage a variety of learning styles.

These building blocks establish the foundation for the abstract thinking skills developed in the later stages of logic and rhetoric. The constant efforts of Trinity Classical Academy to give their students a well-rounded and exceptional education has earned them several awards over the years.

Trinity Classical Academy has received its 6 year accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Accreditation ensures that students graduating from Trinity will have valid transcripts for college and university acceptance and can confidently apply for scholarships, transfer credits and have their credentials recognized by future employers.

Trinity Classical Academy is also a charter member of the Association of Classical and Christian Schools (ACCS). This is an association of Christian schools whose primary mission is to promote, establish and equip schools committed to a classical approach to education. Their goal is to set an educational standard for a unified and directed approach to classical, Christian learning.

Trinity Classical Academy is also a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). Since 1978, ACSI has advanced excellence in Christian schools by enhancing the professional and personal development of Christian educators. They also provide support for functions for Christian schools.

Trinity Excellence in Action Tours are available and are an excellent opportunity to learn about the mission and vision of Trinity Classical Academy. It is an inspirational, hour tour where members of the community, business leaders and community leaders see how Trinity is impacting families in Santa Clarita. Guests also learn about the founding of Trinity Classical Academy, their vision, mission and will hear personal stories about how the school is impacting the lives of students and their families.
