Zonta Club of Santa Clarita Valley officials are hosting a women’s workshop addressing post-holiday depression on Jan. 17, event officials announced Saturday.

The free LifeForward workshop is set to be presented by Marilyn Ruman, Ph.D., director of Marilyn Ruman Clinical and Consulting Associates in Beverly Hills.
Ruman has provided services to individuals, corporations, institutions and community organizations for more than 20 years, according to Zonta Club of SCV officials.
The club’s LifeForward series is offered on a monthly basis with workshops organized by topics in which women express interest, such as personal lifestyle, career and job search skills, divorce and child support and other topics requested by participants.

The workshops are presented by the Zonta Club of SCV in cooperation with organizations like Single Mothers Outreach, the Domestic Violence Center of Santa Clarita Valley, Habitat for Humanity and Los Angeles County Department of Child and Family Services.

The post-holiday depression workshop is scheduled Jan. 17 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Santa Clarita Activities Center. Women who arrive by the 10 a.m. start time are set to be entered into a drawing for a free gift certificate.
