Tributefest –
Eleven hours of music from the best-of-the-best tribute bands all right here at Central Park.  Saturday’s Tributefest honors The Beatles, Dave Matthews Band, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith, Queen and more.   Half price tickets available at KHTS.  There will also be dozens of food vendors, including award winning barbeque, and 30 craft beers on tap.  Saturday from 11a.m. to 10p.m.

Pet Expo –
Pet Expo, Saturday and Sunday, brings us Pit Boss, Shorty Rossi, from Animal Planet; Lassie; and Tilman and Tank, the skateboarding bulldogs.  Pet Expo showcases 80 vendors with the latest and greatest in pet care and safety.  Bring your pets for free micro-chipping and rabies vaccines.  Donate a dog bed or a new or used blanket for a chance at winning prizes.

Taste of the Town –
The Child and Family Center’s premier event features many of Santa Clarita’s outstanding food and beverage establishments.  Admission gets you all-you-can-eat food, wine, beer, live entertainment, chef demonstrations., and so much more.  Entertainment from the 70’s iconic pop band, Ambrosia, and last year’s crowd-pleaser, Mark LeVang and Friends.  Sunday from 1-5p.m. at Mann Biomedical Park.

Rotary Luau –
Saturday’s Rotary Luau is serving up a whole roast pig, cocktails, jambalaya, live band and silent auction at a private Sand Canyon home.  To be part of this Luau, call Chris Ball at 310-8115.

Skyhawks Charity Football –
Skyhawks, Santa Clarita’s own semi-pro football team, plays spirited tackle football to raise awareness and money for children’s cancer.  Support your hometown team Saturday at Canyon High.  Proceeds benefit the Michael Hoefflin Foundation.  Gates open at 6:00p.m.  Santa Clarita Skyhawks versus San Diego Thunder.  Pre-sale tickets are $8; at the gate, $10.  Children 10 and under are free. Snack bar available.
