Improv Night – Brandon Gibson & Bent Neck Giraffe Troupe
KHTS crazy Morning Man, Brandon Gibson, is on another wild roll.  Brandon will be featured in “Comedy Underground”, a free night of fun improv comedy by Brandon & Improv Troupe “Bent Neck Giraffe”, and a performance by Saturday Night Live’s Victoria Jackson.  The fun starts Friday night at 8:00pm.

Woman of Honor Dinner – Get Tickets Now
The Betty Ferguson Foundation “Woman of Honor Dinner” will be here before you know it.  Get your tickets now for the September 11th dinner.  Betty Ferguson Foundation’s mission is: “Train, Develop & Empower” woman and youth to be a vital force in society.  The Woman of Honor Dinner will recognize Ms Jacqulyn Petersen in appreciation and recognition of her service as a philanthropist and visionary within the SCV community.

Local Theater: ‘Annie’ and ‘Odd Couple’
This weekend is your last chance to get a little sunshine in your life with “Annie” at the Santa Clarita Regional Theatre on stage at the Performing Arts Center at College of the Canyons.  And, to double your smiles, Canyon Theatre Guild has “The Odd Couple” starring Jeff Johnson and KHTS’ own Jason Endicott.

Concerts in the Park – Durell Coleman
Motown, soul, and rhythm and blues is what it’s all about at Concerts in the Park.  Durell Coleman, former Star Search winner, is featured in this awesome 12 piece band.  Come enjoy multi-lead vocalists, choreographed dance moves, and a powerful horn section displaying a unique style at Concerts in the Park this Saturday from 7:00-10:00pm at Central Park.

Jazz & Blues – Nelsen Adelard
Years of playing tough, gritty joints and taverns has made Nelsen Adelard a true “Blues Journeyman”.  He expertly walks the line between torment and tenderness for the Jazz & Blues show Friday night from 7:00-9:30pm on Town Center Drive.

United States Air Force Band of the Golden West
After your weekend, stir you heart and mind at a United States Air Force Band of the Golden West concert.  This free event is back by popular demand.  You’ll hear music from jazz and pop arrangements to military marches and patriotic songs.  The band comes to the Performing Arts Center at College of the Canyons on Tuesday, August 17 at 7:00pm.  The lobby will open at 6:00pm with seating at 6:30pm on a first-come, first-serve basis.
