Blessed Kateri – Casino Night
Dress up in fun Las Vegas attire for a unique and memorable experience at Blessed Kateri’s Casino Night.  Action packed blackjack, craps, roulette and poker will be played with incredible fun and fellowship.  Door prizes, raffle prizes and amazing DJ entertainment are yours with admission.  Appetizers and a no-host bar round out the evening.  Cash prizes are as follows:  first place $1,000, second place $500 and third place $250.   Casino Night will be held Saturday starting at 6:30pm at Blessed Kateri’s Slattery Hall.  Advance tickets are two for $50, or $30 per person.  Tickets purchased at the door will be $35 per person.  Order on-line or by calling Paul at 713-6716.  Blessed Kateri Catholic Church is located at 22508 Copper Hill Drive.

CTG – Willy Wonka
This weekend is your last chance to redeem your golden ticket and tour the chocolate factory with Willy Wonka at Canyon Theatre Guild.  This imaginative musical will thrill and entertain the entire family.  The matinee performances on Saturday and Sunday are at 2pm.  Saturday and Sunday evening performances are at 8pm.  Ticket prices are $15 to $17 for adults and $12 to $15 for Juniors/Seniors (under 18/over 62).  Canyon Theatre Guild is located at 24242 Main Street in Old Town Newhall.  Call 799-2702.

Senior Center – Celebrity Waiter
It’s time to live vicariously your dream of Hollywood.  Come decked out for this year’s Celebrity Waiter “Up On The Silver Screen” event.  The evening will have themed table décor and themed entertainment provided by local singers and dancers.  SCV celebrities turn the tables and cater to each guest’s every need.  Celebrity Waiter will be held Saturday beginning at 6pm at the Hyatt Valencia Grand Ballroom.  Hyatt Valencia is located at 24500 Town Center Drive.  Proceeds benefit the SCV Senior Center’s many services including:  Home Delivered Meals, Adult Daycare Respite, Peer and Grief Counseling and Visually Impaired Programs.

SC Street Fair
One weekend a month the Santa Clarita Street Fair offers fun, festive entertainment for the entire family.  Arts, crafts and merchandise from innovative and creative artisans will be available for browsing or purchase.  Lunch vendors will satisfy your every tastebud.  The Street Fair is held every 4th weekend on Saturday and Sunday from 8am-3pm at College of the Canyons parking lot 8, next to the football stadium.  Lunch vendors will be on hand from 11am to 2pm.  Admission and parking are free.  For more information, call 299-2139 on weekdays and 810-9905 on weekends.  New vendors, entertainment and attraction opportunities are available.  A portion of the proceeds benefit the Santa Clarita Emergency Winter Shelter.

Zonta – LifeForward Workshop
Take part in a LifeForward Workshop: “Money Management, ID Theft”.  This free of charge workshop is offered to local women.  Topics, such as finances, job search and career skills, and personal skills for more successful living, will be discussed.  Zonta presents the LifeForward workshops designed for women who are underserved, in need or at risk.  The goal of the program is to foster economic independence and self-sufficiency.  For future workshops, free childcare is available to those that pre-register at least one week in advance.  The workshop will be held on Saturday from 9:30am to 1pm at Desert Streams Church located at 26873 Ruether Avenue in Canyon Country.  Email questions to lifeforward@scvzonta.org

Golden Valley Marching Band – Oggi’s
