Learn about your ancestors this Saturday at the 2010 Santa Clarita Valley Family History Fair at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on McBean Parkway. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., guests have the opportunity to attend various classes to learn how to effectively research their family background. All classes are free.

SCV Magic Soccer Club Tryouts
Don’t miss your chance to try out for SCV Magic, Santa Clarita’s Premier Soccer Club. Boys and girls ages eight to thirteen are invited to display their soccer skills on the field this week at Central Park. Tryouts end this Friday. Because of the stormy weather, dates and times may be canceled or rescheduled; check the SCV Magic website for updated information.

Sweet Charity Cake Ideas
Stay out of the rain and keep yourself warm this weekend by preparing for the Sweet Charity Cake Auction. Come up with a theme for your cake and experiment with new recipes. The cake auction and competition will be held on Saturday, March 27 to benefit the SCV Youth Project.

LifeForward Workshops
Head to the Valencia Library this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to learn about the benefits of borrowing at LifeForward Workshops. Sponsored by the Zonta Club of SCV, instructors will teach various concepts regarding borrowing basics.

The Tooth Fairy Event Day
Take your family to the Regal Entertainment Group Edwards Valencia 12 this Saturday for the opening of The Tooth Fairy. Starting at 11 a.m., the cinema will provide free games, raffles, and giveaways including posters and movie tickets.
