Clean out your garage and closets to help the Canyon Girls Soccer team. On Saturday they are collecting your gently used clothing, furniture and household items. Bring your items to the Canyon High parking lot between 9am-3pm. For those who cannot make it on that day, please call to arrange for the items to be picked up. Call Jean at 298-5544.
Celebrate the Lunar New Year
Get your Gung Hay Fat Choy on and enjoy the Lunar New Year with Chinese and other traditional Asian performances. Sunday’s family program is open to the public and is sure to be a delight. You’ll experience traditional dances, songs and drums. The celebration starts at 2:00pm at the Senior Center located at 22900 Market Street. Gung Hay Fat Choy is a Cantonese New Year’s greeting that roughly translates to: “Best wishes and congratulations. Have a prosperous and good year”
Hearts for Heroes
Join Prayer Angels for the Military and the kids of the SCV in making Hearts for Heroes Valentine’s Day cards. The cards will go to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, wounded warriors, veterans, firefighters and law enforcement heroes. The hope is to make 1,000 cards. There will be pizza and prizes while filling envelopes and packages with cards, goodies, love and appreciation. Donations of individually wrapped snack items are needed, along with drink packets, white or black socks, razors (three or four blade) and hand warmers. Join the fun Saturday at 3:00pm at the Santa Clarita Community Center located at 22421 Market Street.

Canyon Theatre Guild has your golden ticket to see “Willy Wonka”. You won’t want to miss this musical based on the book Charlie And The Chocolate Factory. Take advantage of a KHTS Special for Saturday evening, February 5 only @ 8 PM. “Buy an adult ticket, get Child’s ticket free!

“Whatever” Kids Event
”Whatever” may be something you’ve heard from your kids. Bring your kids to a “Whatever” Kids Event and they’ll have an awesome time of learning, fun, music, activities, community service and so much more. This event is for kids from Kindergarten through 6th grade. It will be held Friday and is sponsored by Real Life Church Do they have homework to get done first? Come a little early, 3:30pm, for a snack and time to get the work done. Tutoring will be available if they need a little extra help. The main program starts at 4:30pm. Yoga Yoga – Past Life Regression
