Garage Sale for Heads Up
Find great deals this Saturday at the Heads Up Therapy On Horseback Garage Sale on the corner of Sand Canyon and Iron Canyon Road.  Starting at 8 a.m., guests are invited to search through household items, gas dryers, furniture, lamps, saddles, bridles, and halters.  Proceeds benefit the therapy horses.

Senior Center Recycling
Donate your old or broken electronics to the SCV Senior Center this Sunday for the E-Waste Recycling Day.  From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., donors can drop off their computers, monitors, keyboards, laptops, mice, TVs, stereo systems, copiers, calculators, cell phones, and televisions to help raise money for the GRANDS’ Senior Center refurbishing effort.

Join KHTS Total Money School Hour host, Arif Halaby this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to learn how to manage your money at Money Basics.  Classes are held at The Total Money School in Newhall and cover various topics including taxes, retirement plans, and ways to earn income.

Hart District Robotics Team
Take your family to the Barns & Noble Shopping Center this Friday for the District Robotic Team fundraising event.  When you shop at Barns & Noble, Baja Fresh, and Ben & Jerry’s mention the Hart District Robotic Team and a portion of the proceeds will help support the team’s San Diego and Los Angeles Competitions.

SCV Optimist Casino Night

Put on your poker face and head to the SCV Optimist Club’s Casino Night this Saturday at 5 p.m.  Held at The American Legion Hall, participants will have the opportunity to compete in Blackjack, Texas Holdem, and Poker.  Snacks and soft drinks will be provided.  All proceeds benefit the SCV Optimist Clubs.

Operation Hearts For Heroes

Show your appreciation for our troops this Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. by making Valentine’s Day cards at Operation Hearts for Heroes.  Cards can be created at the Community Center Gym in Newhall.  Along with the cards, Prayer Angels for the Military hope to send care packages and would appreciate donations of beef jerkey, granola bars, on-the-go drink packets, white cotton socks and chocolate.
