Scratch Golf Grand Opening

All Valley Federal Credit Union 
It’s the Grand Opening celebration of All Valley Federal Credit Union this Saturday.  All Valley Federal is located in the WalMart Supercenter off Golden Valley Road.  Saturday’s Grand Opening will run from 9am-2pm.  KHTS will be broadcasting live from 10am-1pm.  Bring the kids to take photos on the KHTS Antique Fire truck.  Door prizes, games for the kids, and register for an iPad.  All Valley Federal offers free checking accounts and no monthly service fees.

Canyon Theatre Guild – Footloose 
Canyon Theatre Guild is dancing up a storm with Footloose.  This energetic and exhilarating musical will have you swaying and tapping your feet and holding back from singing along.  Performances are: Friday and Saturday evenings at 8pm on June 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, 24 and 25.  Saturday and Sunday matinees are at 2pm on June 5, 12, 18, 19 and 25.  Tickets are $12-$15 for Juniors/Seniors and $15-$17 for Adults.  Canyon Theatre Guild is located at 24242 Main Street in Old Town Newhall.  Call 661-799-2702 for reservations.

SCV Blues Festival & BBQ In The Park 
The 4th Annual SCV Blues Festival & BBQ in the Park is here, bigger and better than ever.  The festival features old fashioned family fun with a car show, kids zone and fire truck rides.  Hot dogs will be on the grill and vendors and raffles will round out the day.  Some of Southern California’s hottest blues bands will be performing all day long.  Saturday’s festival will run from 11am-5pm at Mountainview Park on Seco Canyon just north of Copperhill.  The Festival/BBQ benefits Valley Sports Foundation and the Tom Bolewski Family Needs Trust.  Click here for a video on the event.          

FastFrame Valencia – Watercolors Exhibit 
FastFrame Valencia is hosting an exhibit by local artist, Cecily Willis.  The show, titled “Sacred Ordinariness” features detailed watercolors. Willis has won a number of awards over her 40 years in the fields of textile design, fashion illustration, education and newspaper and corporate graphic design.  She is a member of the Santa Clarita Artists Association.  Willis has a love for old building and signs and feels drawn to painting them before they disappear.  Click here to see examples of her art.    Randy and Rose-Marie, owners of FastFrame, will host this wonderful exhibit throughout the month of June.  Fast Frame is located at 24204 Valencia Boulevard, in the Kohl’s/Whole Foods shopping center.  They can be reached at 661-291-1325.  Click here to learn more about FastFrame Valencia.

What:  Boys & Girls Club – Auction of Thrills 
When: 
Saturday, June 4, doors open at 5pm, dinner at 6pm, entertainment & live auction at 7pm

27420 Avenue Scott in the Valencia Industrial Center 
Details:

What:  Arthritis Foundation Annual Arthritis Walk 
When: 
Sunday, June 5 starting at 7am 
Where: 
Six Flags Magic Mountain 
Details: 
This event is free for those who sign up.  Proceeds from this walk benefits arthritis research and programs.  Tickets to Six Flags Magic Mountain  will be given to those participants that raise over $250.  Click here for sign-ups. 

What:  Child & Family Center Golf Invitational 
When: 
Monday, June 6 from 7am-3pm 
Where: 
Robinson Ranch, 27734 Sand Canyon Road 
Details: 
This annual golf tournament benefits Child & Family Center.  Registration and breakfast, Morning Contests and the Driving Range Open starts at 7:30am.   The Shotgun Start – Scramble Format starts at 9am.  The Awards Party begins at 2pm.  Foursomes and individual player spots are available.   Click here for more information. 

What:  SC Blue Heat – Women’s Professional Soccer
When:  Friday, June 3 at 7pm
Where:  Valencia High School, 27801 Dickason Drive in Valencia
