SC Home and Garden Show
The event to make your summer is here: the Santa Clarita Home and Garden Show.  Saturday and Sunday this outdoor and air-conditioned indoor event will feature over 70 exhibitors presenting great and innovative home and garden ideas.  Summer Baltzer, star of HGTV’s “Design on a Dime” and TLC’s “Unhinged”, will be making a special appearance.  Baltzer will host multiple seminars on both days of the event.  One seminar will demonstrate taking indoor design concepts to outdoor living spaces.  There will be tips and ideas, seminars, Kid’s Zone, entertainment and food vendors.  The SCV Food Pantry will be on site to accept food donations.  The event will be held at The Gateway Promenade at 28738 The Old Road, two miles north of Magic Mountain Parkway, near the California Highway Patrol station.  To learn more about the Santa Clarita Home and Garden Show, click here.  Tickets are $5.  To get a coupon and to see the list of vendors and lineup of seminars, click here.

Summer Car Show
Cruise to Old Town Newhall for the Summer Car Show on Main Street, Sunday.  This free event will have antique cars, street rods, classics and more.  Food vendors, exhibitors, crafts and raffles will be there.  KHTS will be on scene broadcasting.  To add to the fun, enter the 50’s style fashion contest.  Call 253-0730

Ladies Night Boutique
It’s Ladies Night and the feeling’s right.  Intimate Sinsation presents Ladies Night at The Provence, Saturday from 6:30-10pm.  Shop till you drop featuring band names like Sugar Mama’s, Tastefully Simple, Liz Sophia, Ever Originals and Intimate Sinsation.  Bring your friends and enjoy this free evening designed with you in mind.  Gold Max of CA will be there to buy your broken and unwanted gold jewelry and to pay top dollar on the spot.  Gold appraisals are free.  Held at the Club House at 28160 Mc Bean Parkway.  Call 916-8989 or 618-806-2124.

The Sound of Music
Escape Theatre is presenting The Sound of Music.  Opening Friday with Saturday and Sunday performances.  These multi-cast productions involving 240 youth and teens.  An 18 piece orchestra provides musical accompaniment.  The Sound of Music will be at Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center.  Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students and seniors.  For reservations call 299-5264.

Battle of the Rides
Let Me Sail invites you to Saturday’s new thrilling fundraising event, “Battle of the Rides”.  Come see jaw-dropping hot rods and cool rides, plus car and motorcycle accessory displays, gourmet food trucks, interactive activities and six live bands.  Tickets are $10 and kids under 6 are free.  Battle of the Rides will be held at Saugus Speedway.
