Kenneally Acupuncture – New Moon Celebration
The new moon is a time for new beginnings and Kenneally Acupuncture is offering a New Moon Celebration.  Traditionally, the new moon is a time for farmers to plant their crops.  Join in taking care of yourself by ‘planting’ new ideas, new goals and new energy to help accomplish your highest good, dreams and new life.  This workshop will be held Friday starting at 7:30pm at Kenneally Acupuncture located at 27225 Camp Plenty Road, Suite 4, just below the KHTS studio.  Cost is $10.  Call 252-4100 for more information and reservations.

SCV Concert Band – Concert of Musical Memories
The SCV Concert Band wants to take us on a musical journey through the 20th Century with their “Concert of Musical Memories”.  You’ll enjoy 20th Century music with a dash of 19th Century European music for spice.  The American music spans the entire century from 1902 circus music to the Roaring Twenties, traveling on to jazz and swing of WWII and current Rock & Roll.  This band boasts 50 members that make a robust concert band with a full compliment of instrumentation.  The concert will be held Saturday starting at 7pm at Canyon Theatre Guild located at 24242 Main Street in Old Town Newhall.  Tickets are $16 for adults, $9 for youth and $14 for seniors (62 and over).

Old Town Newhall – Farmers Market & Art Walk
February’s first Farmers Market & Art Walk was a huge hit and this weekend’s event promises even more.  Gourmet bistro food trucks will be on hand offering your every food dream.  The event is a free self guided art walk throughout Main Street in the Arts District of Old Town Newhall.  Several businesses and outdoor exhibition spaces will be part of the walk.  The art is there for your appreciation and for purchase.  You’ll hear music playing all along the walk.  The entire family will enjoy this event while they help strengthen ties with the SCV arts community.  The Farmers Market offers fresh produce from 3:00 to 7:00pm.  The gourmet bistro food trucks will be serving from 4:00 to 7:00pm.   Click here for a full story on the first Farmer’s Market & Art Walk.

City – Synchronized Swimming West Zone Final
Synchronized swimming is coming the Santa Clarita.  The City of Santa Clarita is hosting the U.S. Synchronized Swimming West Zone Finals.  You will see these athletes perform synchronized swimming with grace, strength and flexibility.  Click here for the complete story.  This free event will be held from 9am-6pm on Thursday through Sunday at the Santa Clarita Aquatic Center located at 20850 Centre Pointe Parkway

Placerita Nature Center – Family Nature Walk
If you’ve been feeling winter doldrums you may need to get up and out for the Family Nature Walk at Placerita Nature Center.  There is no charge for the Family Nature Walk or the Native Live Animal Presentation.  The live animal show will most certainly entertain all ages as it can feature an owl, hawk, possum, snake, bugs and more.  Skilled docent naturalists are on hand dispensing information and answering all your questions.  The Family Nature Walk starts at 11am and the Native Live Animal Presentation is at 1pm.  Placerita Canyon Nature Center is located at 19152 W. Placerita Canyon Road.
