NorthPark Church – St. Patrick’s Day Ladies Tea
Women! NorthPark Church has an opportunity for us to gather with our daughters, sisters, mothers, grandmothers and female friends for an afternoon tea filled with friendship, fun and bonding at their St Patrick’s Day Ladies Tea.  There will be scrumptious finger foods and delicious desserts that are sure to make us sigh.  Corrinne May will be the special musical guest.  The Tea will be held Saturday.  Doors open at 3:30pm with the program beginning at 4:30pm.  Tickets are $15 each or two for $25.  Dress is nice casual.  NorthPark Community Church is located at 28310 Kelly Johnson Parkway.

SC Regional Theatre – “Chicago”
Chicago, that universal musical telling the tale of fame, fortune and all that jazz in one show-stopping-song after another, is coming to Santa Clarita.  Once you add astonishing dancing, you surely know why this musical has been a hit all around the world.  The story of Chicago is a satire on corruption in the criminal justice system and the idea of ‘celebrity criminals’ all based on actual crimes and criminals in the 1920’s.    There will be only five performances.  So make your reservations now for this live on stage experience.  Chicago is presented by the Santa Clarita Regional Theatre at the Performing Arts Center at College of the Canyons.  Tickets range from $12 to $29 depending on location and senior discounts.  The show is not recommended for young audiences.  Performances are:  Saturday, March 12 at 8pm; Sunday, March 13 at 2pm; Saturday, March 19 at 2pm and 8pm; and Sunday, March 20 at 2pm.  For tickets call the box office at 799-2702.

The Skyhawks, Santa Clarita’s own semi-pro football team, will be playing the San Diego Thunder in their first game on their 2011 home schedule.  This is the Skyhawks second season and they promise to be bigger and better than their first.  The Skyhawks play football to help children with cancer.  They have adopted and partnered with the Michael Hoefflin Foundation for Children’s Cancer.  Come out to support the Skyhawks and the Michael Hoefflin Foundation.  There will be music, a half-time show and games for kids.  The game will be played at Canyon High School.  The gates open at 6pm and kickoff is at 7pm.  Tickets are $10.  Military and children under 10 are free.  Canyon High School is located at 19300 W. Nadal Street in Canyon Country.   Click here to read a full story on the Skyhawks.
